Yasei Collective、ツアーファイナルで追加公演を発表

Yasei Collectiveが5月に発売したニューアルバムを引っさげての全国ツアー『Yasei Collective Live Tour 2017 "FINE PRODUCTS"』最終公演を7月22日（土）に東京・新代田FEVERにて開催した。

ソールドアウトとなった本公演では、Yasei Collectiveのライブを前に、DJ荒内佑（cero）、MONO NO A WARE、WONKが熱いパフォーマンスを披露し来場した観客を楽しませた。

熱気に包まれた会場にYasei Collectiveのメンバーが登場すると、ミュージシャンズ・ミュージシャンとしても名高い彼らの第一音を聴き逃すまいと満員の会場は固唾を呑む。待望のツアー・ファイナルは『FINE PRODUCTS』収録曲、ファンキーなサウンドの「Interlude-3」からスタート。アルバム・レコーディングからアレンジを加え、ジャム・チューンとして昇華させたパフォーマンスを繰り広げる。開始直後からクライマックスのようなテンションで会場のファンは音に体を委ね踊り始めた。

割れんばかりの大喝采の中、リーダーの松下マサナオ[Ds]が「ヤセイコレクティブです。最後までよろしく」と挨拶をし、同アルバム収録の「Shinkado」へと流れ込む。"音"を"楽"しむために再構築されたであろう独特なアレンジの中で、別所和洋[Keys]のシンセが複雑な音階を刻み、縦横無尽に音が空間を往復する。青緑の照明と合わさり、まるで宇宙空間を遊泳しているような錯覚さえ覚えた。間髪入れずに披露した「radiotooth」では、斎藤拓郎[Gt,Voc,Synth]のボコーダーを駆使したギターサウンドや、中西道彦[Ba,Synth]のシンセ&ベースが唸る。圧倒的なパフォーマンスに会場の熱気は最高潮、大喝采が巻き起こった。

改めて松下が来場したファンと出演アーティストに感謝の意を伝えると、アルバム『FINE PRIDUCTS』収録の夢に誘うようなメズマライズな楽曲「Interlude-1」「Uncle S」、そして2013年リリースのSG曲「CHAT LOW」へと展開していく。激しい音圧の中にも、色艶を感じさせるライブにファンは酔いしれた。

圧倒的なパフォーマンスを披露した後には、ツアー全体的に"微妙"だったという別所（Keys）の物販紹介。ファンに暖かく見守られながら別所がグッズを紹介するも、松下が「ファイナルでもダメだったわ（笑）」と一蹴。超絶テクニックを披露した直後の別所のたどたどしいMCに、会場は暖かい笑いに包まれた。フジロックへの出演や夏フェスへの参加をファンに伝えた後、後半戦ではドラムが色っぽいメロウなチューン「Tabaco」、複雑に音が重なる「Demode re」へと流れ込み、美しい旋律の「Uncle B」のラストでは、斎藤のギターソロに満員の会場が手を上げ大喝采を送った。

続く「Interlude-2」は、アルバム・レコーディング時には1分程だった楽曲を、映画を思わせる壮大なスケールの約8分のトラックへと大胆にアレンジ。後半の松下のドラムは手数が圧倒的で、まるで"千手観音"のようだった。

「今日は本当にありがとうございました」と短く感謝を伝えると、中西のオクターバーを介したベースが"唄い踊る"「Alowari」、そして最新アルバムのリードトラック「HELLO」へと続く。"Yasei Collective史上最もテクニックを要する楽曲"とされる「HELLO」では、別所の速弾き、中西のベースとシンセ・ベースの驚異の同時弾き、松下の人間離れしたドラミング、斎藤の"声をギターで弾く"独特なヤセイ・サウンドが重なり、圧巻のステージを演出。突出した演奏テクで観客を魅了した「HELLO」で本編は終了した。

鳴り止まない拍手の中再登場したメンバーは、アンコールで最新アルバムのラストトラック「Quinty」を熱演し、"ヤセイ味“あふれる濃密な全国ツアーを締めくくった。

そんなアンコールのステージ上で、追加公演『FINE PRODUCTS FROM THE PAST』を10月14日に下北沢・BASEMENT BARで開催されることが発表された。更なるアレンジが施されたInterlude楽曲たちも披露されるとのことなので、追加情報はYasei Collective HP/SNSを是非チェックして欲しい。
