米津玄師、菅田将暉と同世代タッグが実現したMVを公開

米津玄師のニューアルバム『BOOTLEG』プレミアム全曲先行試聴会にて、会場を興奮の渦に包み込んだ楽曲「灰色と青（+菅田将暉）」のMVが公開となった。同楽曲は、幼少時代を共にした友人同士が大人になりすれ違う日々の中で、離れていても奇跡的に重なる瞬間が描かれたもの。米津が楽曲制作をするにあたり、菅田以外には考えられず直接話しにいったところ、二人は意気投合して今回のタッグへとつながったという。

「灰色と青（+菅田将暉）」のMVは、米津、菅田とも同世代であり親交のある映像作家・山田健人が監督をつとめており、MVの公開と同時にダウンロード配信も開始となった。さらに、この曲のキービジュアルとなる米津、菅田のアーティスト写真に加え一部未公開となっていた『BOOTLEG』の法人特典の絵柄も初解禁。また、10月16日25時からニッポン放送をキーステーションに生放送する全国36局ネット「菅田将暉のオールナイトニッポン」にて米津玄師がゲストで登場することも決定している。

10月10日に東京国際フォーラムにて開催された『BOOTLEG』プレミアム視聴会は、抽選で当選した1,500名が招待され、全曲の試聴と共に新曲「灰色と青（+菅田将暉）」のMVも初公開されたとのこと。また「fogbound（+池田エライザ）」に参加している池田エライザからもコメントが届き、会場を沸かせた。米津は池田へのオファーについて、“池田さんともいつかご一緒出来たらと思っていた中で、この曲の持っている曖昧な感じ、霞みがかった感じに、彼女の呟くような歌声が完璧に合っている”と語っている。
