BLESS THIS MESS、12月20日に1stアルバムXIALL RAINをStarwave Recordsよりリリース

Starwave Recordsへ新たなバンドが加入。コテ系/黒系バンドが主流という印象の強い同レーベルだが、新加入したBLESS THIS MESSは、マイナー調の楽曲を主体にしつつ、ゴスやデスという枠組みには収まりきらない。むしろ、黒い香りをまとう荘厳な世界観を描きながらも、抑揚を持った歌声で生々しく感情の息吹を伝えゆく音楽性を提示している。
「醜悪の中に光る唯一無二の世界観」をテーマに活動。綴る1曲1曲が生々しい「命」を宿していると言えば良いだろうか、揺れ動く感情と歌声とサウンドがシンクロ。歌心を魅力に据えたその楽曲は、誰もが内に秘めている見せたくない感情を痛く刺激してゆく。その刺激は、病み付きになる中毒性を備えている。

BLESS THIS MESSは、12月20日に1stフルアルバム『XIALL RAIN』を発売する。いただいた資料には、「Vo.YNG(やなぎ)の持つ退廃的世界観と、Gt.立石 恁(たていし じん)の得意とするシンセサウンドの融合。未知の可能性を秘めたBLESS THIS MESSがシーンへ一石を投じる。再び歩き出した彼らの存在があなたに必要なのか否か、それは今作を聴けば確信に変わるだろう」と記されていた。
現在、1stフルアルバム『XIALL RAIN』のレコーディング真っ最中のBLESS THIS MESS。今のところ、先行で公開になった『Lunar Regret』のMV(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsYlygmh5xI)くらいしか手元に資料はないが、この楽曲を聞くだけでもBLESS THIS MESSの全体像をつかみたくなる好奇心が膨らんでゆく。

「困難さえも祝福する」…困難と呼べる「負」の中に一筋の「光」を音として表現することをコンセプトに活動中のBLESS THIS MESS。バンドのセールスポイントは「居そうで居なかった退廃的世界観。一度聴けば忘れる事の出来ない圧倒的な歌声とメロディ。ソリッドかつ感情を揺さぶるギターと楽曲を彩るシンセサイザー」と語るように、早く彼らの音楽の全貌に触れたくなってきた。
　1月17日には、恵比寿club aimを舞台に無料単独ライブ「天啓の畏怖」も決定。ライブ活動もコンスタントに行っているように、足を運べる方は、音源に先駆け、まずはライブを通してBLESS THIS MESSの音楽性に触れていただきたい。そこで感じた衝撃は、その後に控えているアルバムでも存分に楽しめる…に違いない。
