イギー・ポップ、ドキュメンタリー映画の日本公開が4月に決定

イギー・ポップの最新アルバム『ポスト・ポップ・ディプレッション』のレコーディング、そしてロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールでの爆発的ライヴまでを追ったドキュメンタリー映画『アメリカン・ヴァルハラ』の日本公開が4月に決定した。

クイーンズ・オブ・ザ・ストーン・エイジのジョシュ・ホーミとアンドレアス・ニューマンが共同監督を務め制作された本ドキュメンタリーにはイギー・ポップ、アルバムのプロデュースを手掛けたジョシュ・ホーミに加えて、ディーン・フェルティタ（クイーンズ・オブ・ザ・ストーン・エイジ）、マット・ヘルダース（アークティック・モンキーズ）が出演。イギーと3人のバンド・メンバーが集結し、モハベ砂漠の真ん中で関係者にも一切知られることなく行なったという作曲、レコーディング作業の様子、そしてツアーのハイライトの一つとなったロイヤル・アルバート・ホール公演の模様などを映し出しながら、彼らの音楽の旅を映し出したドキュメンタリー作品となっている。
