「あなたを絶対にその気にさせてやる」。XANVALA、1月30日のワンマン公演より始動!!

1月30日(木)、ヴィジュアルシーンへ強烈なインパクトを与えようと。いや、ヴィジュアル界へ革命を起こそうという強気な姿勢を持って新しいバンドが産声を上げる。XANVALA(ザンバラ)…。
「乱れることは美しい」をコンセプトに活動を始めるXANVALA。メンバーは、巽(Vo)/宗馬(G)/Yuhma(G)/70.(B)/知哉(Dr)の5人。1月30日に池袋BlackHoleを舞台に行なう始動ワンマン公演「WARNING COLOURATION-警告色と下極上-」を皮切りに、怒濤のライブ展開を繰り広げてゆく。XANVALAの魅力について、メンバーのYuhmaが以下の言葉を届けてくれた。

Yuhma このバンド、ヴォーカルの巽が作詞を担当、演奏陣の4人ともコンポーザーであることが大きな強みになっていること。XANVALAは「乱れることは美しい」をコンセプトに据えているように、「格好いい部分と綺麗な部分を乱れさせてく」というか、そこを上手くミックスしていけば、ザンバラと髪の毛を振り乱すように我武者羅に走り続けようという意識を持って活動をしていくので…。

現状、XANVALAの音楽性の手がかりとなっているのが、YouTube上で公開になったMV「鮮やかな猛毒」のみ。歌心を持ったキャッチーな面と激しさを重ね合わせた楽曲のように、つかみを持った歌を届けながらもライブバンドらしい激しさも同居している印象を受けるが、実際のところはどうなのか。メンバーの知哉が、こう答えてくれた。

知哉 ライブなら最初からゴリゴリな面を出してもお客さんはすぐに順応してくれるけど、MVは不特定多数の人たちと接点を持つ場になることから、XANVALAの魅力の一つである"キャッチーな歌もの"面を出そうという想いを持って、今回「鮮やかな猛毒」を公開しました。ライブでは、激しめな楽曲を軸に攻めてゆく形にもなりそうです。

XANVALAの全貌をつかむ場となるのが、先にも触れた1月30日に池袋BlackHoleを舞台に行なう始動ワンマン公演「WARNING COLOURATION-警告色と下極上-」になる。最後に、この日へ向けたメンバーたちの意気込みもお伝えしよう。

知哉 その時点では、MV「鮮やかな猛毒」の印象のみで足を運ぶ人たちも多いと思うけど。良い意味で、ガラッと印象を変えてやるライブを見せるので。
70. １月３０日本編も楽しみにして欲しいけど、ワンマンライブ後も楽しみにしていて欲しい。実はその次の段階へ繋がるシーンが「鮮やかな猛毒」のMVに沢山ちりばめられてるんです。表の世界と裏の世界。現実と夢。昔あった映画のマトリックスの世界みたいな…おーーっとやばいここまでにしとこ(笑)そしてみんなに巽の歌詞をみて考察してほしい。本当に面白い世界を描く子なんで。
宗馬 ホント、今から1月30日が楽しみで仕方ないです。「素晴らしい」と言える楽曲ばかりを揃えたように、あとは自信を持って見せるだけ。心の中の不安はゼロ、期待は100以上…いや、1万以上。とにかく、見た人たちを「XANVALAを応援し続けたい」気持ちにさせれば、早い時期に「応援し続けて良かった」と言わしめる存在になりますから。
巽 ヴィジュアル系というシーンの中、XANVALAが新しい時代を作り上げる中心となるバンドになる意識でいれば、その気持ちを持って1月30日にXANVALAを正式始動させます。まずはライブ会場に来て、聴いて、暴れてもらいたい。そのうえで好き嫌いを判断してくれたら良いこと。「あなたを絶対にその気にさせる」と、XANVALAはここで断言しておきます。
