SHISHAMO、夏フェスシーズン真っ盛りの8月にニューシングル「熱帯夜」を発売

Zepp DiverCityを含む自身最大規模のワンマンツアーを大成功に収めたSHISHAMOが、8月5日に急遽ニューシングル「熱帯夜」をリリースすることを発表した。

夏フェスシーズン真っ盛りのシングルということで、昨夏大旋風を巻き起こしたシングル「君と夏フェス」第2弾のようなアッパーソングが届くのかと思いきや、実は真逆。新曲「熱帯夜」は、そんな安易な予測を痛快に裏切る超メロウなラブソングだ。しっとりと心地よく体を横に揺らすサウンドに乗って、夏の夜にあなたを想う切ない恋心を男女両方の目線から歌い上げ、これまでのSHISHAMOのイメージとはひと味違うちょっぴり大人でアーバンな世界観を映し出している。どれほど盛り上がっても季節の終わりと共に移ろいゆく人の心の儚さまでをも描写しながら、スッと聴き手の奥深くに沁み込んでくるこの曲は、フェスを加速装置に人気と勢いを広げたSHISHAMOの次なる挑戦と言ってもいいかもしれない。

一方、カップリングの「生きるガール」は、快活に弾けたバンド感あふれるポップナンバー。ツアーを経て地力を上げた、軽やかだけど強く、颯爽としながらも説得力を増したバンドの今が眩い輝きを見せる楽曲だ。

今年も全国各地の夏フェスを席巻しながら、年明け2016年1月4日（月）の日本武道館ワンマン公演へとひた走るSHISHAMO。このシングルが、今のバンドシーンから頭ひとつ抜けていく契機と決意であることは間違いない。

そしてこの春、Zepp DiverCityを含む自身最大規模のワンマンツアーを大成功に収めたSHISHAMOの秋のワンマンツアーが決定した。SHISHAMO ワンマンツアー2015秋「熱帯夜はまだ続くけど、ガールは今日も笑わなきゃいけない」というタイトルで、札幌・東京・名古屋・大阪・福岡のZepp5ヵ所を含む、全国15公演となる。

また、公開されたシングル「熱帯夜」のジャケット、秋のワンマンツアーイラスト、新たなアーティスト写真イラストは、すべてギター＆ヴォーカルの宮崎朝子がデザインしたもの。その卓越した音楽センスだけでなく、デザインセンスにも注目したい。
