話題の新ユニット・DECAYS、初の音源はUSBメモリーとして12月に発売

DIR EN GREYのDieとMOON CHILDの樫山圭を中心としたユニット「DECAYS」が12月16日にリリースする、初の音源作品 『Red or Maryam』（レッド・オア・マリアム）の詳細が明らかになった。

以前から今年12月リリースがアナウンスされていた本作品はなんと、USBメモリー形態よるミニアルバム。全7曲のハイレゾ音源とMP3音源に加え、iTunes Storeでも配信中のミュージックビデオ「Secret mode」、そして今年7月28日に赤坂BLITZで行なわれた主催イベント「DECAYS presents 『THE GROWTH TO DECAY』」でのライヴ映像やライヴ写真が収められた特殊仕様となっている。なお、本作品は数量限定生産のため、予約が一定数に達したところで販売終了となるのでご注意を。

そして、この初音源を携えて、DECAYSは12月下旬に大阪と東京で単独ライヴ「Red or Maryam」を実施する。大阪公演は12月21日にOSAKA MUSE、東京公演は24日に新宿BLAZEでそれぞれ開催。11月21日からのチケット一般発売に先駆けて、10月31日12:00からはオフィシャルサイト先行受付もスタートするとのこと。

今回の音源発売＆単独公演について、Dieは「グルーヴ、サウンド、メロディ。肌で感じてください」、樫山は「自然と体が動いてしまう様なライヴをイメージして制作してきた音源なので、ライヴの方も楽しみにしておいて下さい」と、それぞれファンの期待を煽るコメントを寄せている。ぜひUSBメモリーを通じて、そしてライヴ会場にてDECAYSの真の姿に触れてほしい。

DECAYSとしてスタートになる音源なので、メンバー選びから始まり、楽曲制作にあたり何度も試行錯誤を重ねながら完成にたどり着きました。
今作は、僕とDieの得意とするバンド（生音）本来のグルーヴに、シューゲイザー、デジタルな要素を融合させたサウンドに、耳障りの良いメロディをのせた作品になりました。
自然と体が動いてしまう様なライヴをイメージして制作してきた音源なので、ライヴの方も楽しみにしておいて下さい。
