MWAM×Zebrahead、初のヨーロッパ・ツアーが大成功！

2015年5月にスプリットEP「Out of Control」をリリースし、10月にさいたまスーパーアリーナ公演での2マン・ライヴが大成功を収めたことも記憶に新しいMAN WITH A MISSIONとアメリカンパンクロックの雄・Zebrahead。そんな彼らがカップリング・ツアーとして現在ヨーロッパ各都市をツアー中だが、11月28日（土）にロンドン公演をBrooklyn Bowlで行ない、大盛況のうちに幕を閉じた。

開演前から凄まじい熱気に包まれた会場にまずはMAN WITH A MISSIONが登場。やまない歓声の中、のっけから「distance」「database」と勢いのあるナンバーで攻めまくり、「FLY AGAIN」ではオーディエンスが一つに。ライブ終盤でジャン・ケン・ジョニー（gt.&vo.）が、"We have really special guests for you guys!"（スペシャルナゲストノ登場デス！）と叫ぶと、ZebraheadのAliとMattyがステージに登場し、「Out of Control」をコラボ・パフォーマンス。サビの掛け声では観客から雄叫びが巻き起こり、ラストナンバー「Get Off of My Way」では会場がオオカミ一色に染まった。

MAN WITH A MISSION、Zebraheadのツアー・マネージャーが在籍していることでも知られるPatent Pending、そしてZebraheadの3マンで行なわれたロンドン公演のトリを務めたのがZebrahead。今か今かと待ち構えたオーディエンスの期待に答えるように「Rescue Me」で一気に会場を再び温め、「Save Your Breath」「Call My Friends」とたたみかけるように人気ナンバーを繰り出していく。ニュー・アルバム『Walk The Plank』に収録されているナンバーからのシングル「Worse Than This」の後は歴代アルバムからのヒット・ナンバーを畳みかけるように披露、10月のジャパン・ツアーでも行なわれた“カンパイ・ソング”などライヴのみで披露される楽曲も盛り込んでオーディエンスとのコール・アンド・レスポンスを交えながら展開されていくライヴには、20周年を迎えた彼らの貫禄が感じられた。ライヴ中盤では、MAN WITH A MISSIONのジャン・ケン・ジョニーが再び登場し、コラボ曲「Devil On My Shoulder」を披露、客席にはヘッドバンキングのウェーヴが出来る場面も。

なお、MAN WITH A MISSIONは11月27日（金）に急遽リリースされたデジタルシングル「Memories」が絶好調。Zebraheadは来年2月に再び来日し、アーを行なう予定なので、どちらも目が離せない。
