SA、圧巻の全国ツアーファイナルで「まだまだ上に行きます」

4月17日 東京キネマ倶楽部にて、SAのメジャーデビュー後初となる全国ツアー、TOUR「START ALL OVER AGAIN,NOW!2016」のファイナルが行なわれた。

この日、都内は朝から交通機関に大幅な乱れが出るほどの強風と雨に見舞われたが、ライヴが始まる頃には気持ちいいほどのピーカン晴れになった。

コムレイズ（※SAファンの総称）による割れんばかりのSAコールが湧き上がる中、ほぼ定刻通りにお馴染みのSE、トルコ軍楽「ジェッディン・デデン」が鳴り響くと、下手側のステージからNAOKI（Gu）、KEN（Ba）、SHOHEI（Dr）が登場。各々の配置につき、おもむろにビートを刻み出すと、下手ステージには紫のエドワードジャケットを羽織ったTAISEI（Vo）が自慢のリーゼントを整えながら現れる。“ハロー東京!!”という野太い声とともに、「STAT ALL OVER AGAIN!」でライヴの口火は切られ、そのまま「GET UP! WARRIORS」へ傾れ込む。アッパーチューンの応酬に序盤からステージ、フロアは熱気と興奮の坩堝と化し、TAISEIはこの日のために新調したというジャケットを早くも脱ぎ捨てる。

「俺は俺」「新しい歩幅」「さらば夜明けのSkyline」とシンガロングナンバーが続いたあと、SHOHEIのドラムセットを囲み、4人が円陣を組むように始まった「MARCH of HEROES」。ストロングなナンバーを畳みかけていく。

“二人合わせて100歳（笑）”とNAOKIが話し、TAISEIがNAOKIの肩に手を回しながら歌い始めた「runnin' BUMPY WAY」、“Wow Wow～”と響きわたるコムレイズの力強い歌声と高く突き上げられた拳をしっかり受けるように熱を込めた「SHINING FIELDS」、SAのスローガンである「DON'T DENNY, GIVE IT A TRY!!（否定をするな、受け入れろ！）」、「GO BARMY KIDS」ではコムレイズが肩を組みながら右へ左へと大きく揺れる。

“14年、張って張って突っ張ってやってきたら、心から笑えるようになりました。ライヴはハッピーでありたいと思います。SAはまだまだ上に行きますんで、コムレイズは四の五の言わずについてこい”――そんなTAISEIの決意表明のように、高らかなアカペラで始まった「THE SHOW MUST GO ON」で本編は終了。

アンコールでは、映画『劇場版SA サンキューコムレイズ』を7月13日にDVDリリースすることを発表。続いてイベント「SA presents BIG TOP」の開催、そして対バン相手がサンボマスターであることが告げられると、この意外な組み合わせにどよめき交じりの大歓声が巻き起こった。

“若い時代よりもおっさんの時間のほうが長いんだからなー！”と「青春に捧ぐ part.2」。そして、最後の最後は「DELIGHT」でSAとコムレイズによるシンガロングに包まれ、ライヴを締めくくった。

“おっさんのロックンロールバンドがよ、メジャーシーンでガツガツ、ドカドカやってるって、爽快じゃね？ どう？”（TAISEI）。SAの快進撃はまだ始まったばかりだ。
