HOWL BE QUIET、TVアニメ『DAYS』OP主題歌「Wake We Up」リリース決定

HOWL BE QUIETが待望の2ndシングル「Wake We Up」を8月3日にリリースすることが決定した。

全国ラジオ・CS46局でパワープレイを獲得し話題となったデビューシングル「MONSTER WORLD」以来、約5ヵ月ぶりとなる今作は、7月からスタートするTVアニメ『DAYS』のオープニング主題歌に決定している。

今作は全3形態となっており、「Wake We Up」をはじめ全3曲が収録され、初回限定盤付属のDVDには、「Wake We Up」のMV、そして2016年3月8日に渋谷クラブクアトロで開催した『チャンス到来TOUR～決戦前夜編～』より、「千年孤独の賜物」、「クローバー」、「バトルナイフ」、「レジスタンス」、「MONSTER WORLD」といった選りすぐりのライヴ映像を収録。さらにはメンバーによる秘密のオーディオコメンタリーが副音声で入るという遊び心もこめた映像集となる。DAYS盤はアニメ描き下ろしイラストのジャケット仕様になっており、ジャケットサイズステッカーが封入される。

「HOWL BE QUIETとして、歴史上初めての主題歌ということで。『DAYS』という作品にとにかく潜りました。彼らと僕らの共通点は、探すにも至らないぐらいいくつもありましたが、大きく共通していたのは『夢の追い人』であるというところでした。彼らも夢の途中。僕らも同じように夢の途中です。『夢』というのは、大きい小さいあれど、いつの自分も持っているもので、日々更新されていくものだと思っています。叶わなかった夢ばかり頭によぎることが多いけれど、10年前、5年前、あの日の自分から見れば、今の自分はとても輝いて見えたりもするだろうし、その一方、今の自分から見れば、うだつがあがらなくて、地団駄を踏んでいたり。そういう風に『夢』ってやつは、本当に自由でわがままで、その時々の自分に合った『夢』が生まれるもの。だから簡単に叶わなくて当たり前だと思ってます。だって、『夢』も自分と同じように日々成長しているものだと思うから。だからこそ、夢が生まれる瞬間、破れる瞬間、叶う瞬間、そのどれもが本当に儚くて、美しい瞬間なんだと、『DAYS』という作品を読んで、あらためて実感しました。この『Wake We Up』という曲が、『DAYS』の主題歌として、そして聴いてくれた人のエールとして、輝いてくれるよう、思いを込めて作りました」
