クアイフ、超満員の地元・名古屋公演でワンマンツアーに幕

2017年にEPICレコードジャパンよりメジャーデビューすることが決定しているクアイフが、4月22日（土）地元・名古屋のCLUB QUATTROにてワンマンツアーのファイナル公演を行なった。

“next for the future"と銘打たれたこのツアーは発表と同時に大きな反響を呼び、全公演SOLD OUTとなるなど話題となっていた。開演前から熱気を帯びた550人の歓声に迎えられた森彩乃（Vo/Pf）、内田旭彦（Ba）、三輪幸宏（Dr）の3人は、森のアカペラから始まった「meaning of me」、サウンドの緩急に心揺さぶられる「hello world」、広がりある世界観の歌詞が印象的な「universe」の3曲を立て続けに披露し会場のボルテージを急上昇させると、森が『今日来ている人は一人残らず私たちの虜にします』とオーディエンスに宣戦布告。

間髪入れずに透明感あるサウンドが胸にスッと入り込むラブソング「snow traveler」、前向きな歌詞が聴く人の背中を押すミディアムナンバー「ソングフォーミー」で森の伸びやかな歌声をしっかりと聴かせる。さらに「Re:Answer」「ピラミッドを崩せ」といったインディーズ時代初期のナンバーや、独特のテンポ感が特徴の「虹を探していた」を披露すると、BGMを合図に発生した会場一体のコールとともに登場したのは三輪扮するDJキャラクター"YU!YU!YUKIHIRO"。お約束の観客からの"いじり"にもめげない軽妙なトークで会場は爆笑に包まれた。

後半戦はできたてのアップテンポな新曲からスタート。内田が持ち前のベーステクニックで魅せる「未完成ワールド」、聴く人皆が暖かい気持ちになれる人気曲「clock hands」へと続き、『時がとともに変わりゆく中でこそ見えてくる変わらないもの』を歌った「変わって」を森が弾き語りでしっとりと聴かせると、今度は三輪が圧倒的なテクニックのドラムソロでオーディエンスを魅了した。

再び森と内田が加わりライブは怒涛の終盤戦へと突入。聴き心地の良いインストゥルメンタル曲「MUSIC」、光あふれる前途への行進曲「光を探しに」「ニューワールド」、さらにクアイフの真骨頂とも言える超絶的なテクニックに息を飲む「organism」、メンバーとオーディエンスお互い全力のコール＆レスポンスが応酬するライブアンセム「Don't Stop The Music」へとノンストップで駆け抜ける。さらに心の夜明けを壮大なサウンドに載せて届ける「good moring」、『今日ここに集まってくれた人の明日が素晴らしい日になるように』と願いを込めた「Wonderful Life」でクアイフとオーディエンスのグルーヴが限界を突破したところで本編が終了。

フロア中に響き渡るクアイフコールのなか再登場したクアイフは、この日初披露となる新曲と、『こんなに幸せな日があるんだなってくらい今日は幸せです！　会えてよかった!!』と溢れる気持ちを「クロスハッチング」に込めて感情いっぱいに届け、鳴りやまない拍手の中“next for the future"は大団円を迎えた。

今回のツアーを終えて森は、『結成から5年間で出逢ってくれたみんなに最大の感謝と、これからも宜しく！という想いを胸に、ステージから精一杯届けました。私たちは変化し続けたいし、その中でこそ見えてくる変わらない大切なものを音楽を通じて伝えたいと思っています。聴いてくれる人の人生にこの先もクアイフの音楽があり続けられるように、ここからまた始まりの合図を鳴らします！』と想いを語った。

大阪、東京そして名古屋とワンステージごとに確実に進化したライブを届けたクアイフ。メジャーデビューという次のステージに進むなかで、また新しい感動を届けてくれるに違いない。
