大貫妙子とKIRINJIがバカ田大学祭ライブで人生初コラボ！

5月3日から5月5日に『赤塚不二夫生誕80年企画 『天才バカボン』『もーれつア太郎』50周年記念 バカ田大学祭ライブ』が恵比寿ザ・ガーデンホールにて開催された。

5月3日は、矢野顕子、THE BEATNIKSの初となる奇跡の競演。THE BEATNIKSが久しぶりの新曲を発表し、矢野顕子とのセッションではYMOの「BALLET」を披露し大いに客席を沸かせた。続く5月4日は2015年にアルバム『Tint』でレコード大賞優秀アルバム賞を受賞の大貫妙子＆小松亮太、そしてKIRINJIが出演。大貫妙子＆小松亮太としてのステージは約1年ぶり。1曲目はまず小松亮太がステージに登場。おなじみの「THE 世界遺産」のテーマソング「風の詩」でステージが幕を開ける。「みなさんバカ田大学入学おめでとうございます」と小松亮太の言葉で会場は和らいだ雰囲気に。バンドネオン、バイオリンが絡み合うような美しい旋律を奏でる。次いで大貫妙子が登場し、アルバム『ミニヨン』から「横顔」を唄う。バンドネオンの優しく哀愁を帯びた響きと、どこまでも透明な大貫妙子の歌声が描き出す異世界の音楽に会場は心地よい空気感に包まれる。「私もバカ田大学に入学したんです（笑）」という大貫妙子。3曲目「Hiver」からは、アルバム「Tint」に収録の楽曲を披露。北海道などでは最高気温30度を記録したこの日、タイトルの通り冬を題材にしたこの曲が演奏されると会場の季節が移り変わったようだ。次いで二人の共作「ホテル」は異国情緒溢れる映画のような1曲。「1980年代」は、せっかくなら多くの人が知らないタンゴの曲を、ということで小松亮太バンドのみで演奏。「エトランゼ～etranger」はピアノとバンドネオン、そして大貫妙子だけで、ひとつひとつの音の粒がすべて見えるような、スリルのある美しい響きが会場を夢中にさせる。1974年にアストル・ピアソラが作曲の「リベルタンゴ」の熱い演奏に客席は大きな拍手を送る。続いて8曲目は大貫妙子の「美しい人よ」を熱唱。伸びやかな大貫妙子の歌声が会場に響き渡る。続いて、亡くなった母への思いを曲にしたという「愛しきあなたへ」。最後は、音楽も手がけたWOWOWドラマ「山のトムさん」よりテーマソングを披露。タンゴ調のアレンジで、可愛らしく美しいメロディが奏でられるが、間奏では巧妙に「天才バカボン」のメロディを織り込んでみたりと、遊び心も見せた。客席を優しい気分で満たした一時間のステージとなった。

続いてのステージはKIRINJI。この日はギターの弓木英梨乃を除く5人編成での出演となった。1曲目はアルバム「Ten」より「ナイーヴな人々」。軽やかなカントリー調のアレンジと、堀込高樹の独特の空気感ある歌声、センシティヴな歌詞が印象的。日本の音楽黎明期から走り続ける大貫妙子と小松亮太の演奏からの流れでも何ら違和感を感じさせない洗練されたステージがスタート。2曲目「ネンネコ」は2016年発売のアルバム『ネオ』より。2年前に飼い始めた猫についての可愛らしい曲。田村玄一の印象的なペダルスティール、コトリンゴの軽やかなピアノのバッキングで織りなす世界。トークでは堀込高樹が「ナスがママならキュウリはパパだ」という平成天才バカボンのフレーズがお気に入りであることを披露した。続いての曲はアルバム『11』よりインストゥルメンタル「狐の嫁入り」。浮遊感あるリズムの中でバンドとしての一体感と表現の豊かさを見せつけた。最新アルバムより「日々是観光」では堀込高樹とコトリンゴのヴォーカルの掛け合いが絶妙に美しい世界を作り出す。会場は食い入るようにステージ上のその世界に聴き入り、大きな拍手を送った。続く「恋の気配」はコトリンゴのヴォーカルと堀込高樹の間奏の口笛や美しいコーラスワークが印象的だった。そして数あるレパートリーの中でも人気の高い「愛のcoda」を披露し、最後はアルバム『11』より「進水式」でステージを終えた。たちまち、鳴り止まないアンコールに応えて登場したKIRINJIが小松亮太、そして大貫妙子を呼び込む。待望のセッション。アンコールの選曲をするのに電話で大貫妙子と直接話をすることになり緊張したエピソードに会場は暖かい笑いに包まれた。「最近の曲じゃなくて、ずっとさかのぼってこの曲にしました」と大貫妙子から告げられた曲目に会場は驚き、どよめいた。アンコール1曲目はシュガーベイブ「いつも通り」。KIRINJIのサウンドと、小松亮太のバンドネオン、そして大貫妙子と堀込高樹のヴォーカルが絶妙にマッチして、会場の熱気はさらに上がっていく。さらに2曲目、堀込高樹から名曲「DOWN TOWN」が告げられると大きな歓声が。大貫妙子が「DOWN TOWN」のメインボーカルを取るのは人生初とのこと（本人談）。貴重な経験に会場の興奮は頂点に達した。5月5日（金）は、清水ミチコ×ゴンチチという異色の組み合わせによる最終日。バカ田大学祭ライブは音楽史に残るイベントとなっている。
