元SIAM SHADEのNATCHIN率いる21g、プロレス団体DRAGON GATE内に誕生した新ユニットMaxiMuMのためにテーマ曲『1st FINGER』を制作!!

　オリジナルメンバーだったドラマーのAct,が4月に卒業、第一章を終幕すると同時に、３人体制で新たな活動へと踏み出した元SIAM SHADEのNATCHIN率いる21g。4人編成最後の音源となったのが、3月に配信限定シングルとしてリリースした『1st FINGER』だった。
重く圧のある音で攻めるリズム隊、その上でザクザクとした激烈なギターリフが炸裂。まるでパイルドライバーを食らったように脳天を直撃する重厚な音の上で、ヴォーカルのGenoが「俺はここに居る!!」と熱く宣言。Genoは、『1st FINGER』に詰め込んだ想いを、以下のように語ってくれた。

「人は孤独なんですよね。生きる時も死ぬ時も。僕ら人間は、迷いや困難や苦悩に直面した時に、最終的に自分自身の意思や経験により打破していかなければならないじゃないですか？。それは、一個人というそれぞれの個体が持つ、絶対的少数派の宿命なんで。
　ただ、同じ目標を目指した時だけ、孤独な僕らは多数派になる。少しずつ弱さや強さを持ち寄れるから。
　「1st FINGER」はここにいるよ！っていう１つの主張の合図。
　自分の居場所をアピールする１つの手段。
　天に向かって、自分という人間はここで生きてるぞ！っていう強い意思表示。
　そんな想いを込めて、この歌詞を書いた」(Geno)

音源を通しても、エルボーを連打された衝撃を覚える楽曲だもの。ライブという臨場感を生み出す場を通したとき、その迫力は何倍にも増してゆく。何より、イントロが流れた瞬間、身体中の血が熱く滾るほどの嬉しい興奮を覚えずにいれない。闘志が沸く?、もちろんだ。昂る感情のせいで、武者震いが止まらない!!

21gとDRAGON GATEに新たに誕生したユニットMaxiMuMがタッグを組む!

あなたは、DRAGON GATEというプロレス団体をご存じだろうか?。プロレスの聖地、後楽園ホールでの興行は毎回SOLD OUT!!。,熱烈な支持を得ている。

幾つものチームが入り乱れ闘いを繰り広げているDRAGON GATEのリング。今年、土井成樹・吉野正人両選手を中心に、若手ホープたちを集結させた新たなチームが発足した。その名は、MaxiMuM(マキシマム)。同チームの入場テーマ曲の『1st FINGER』を担当したのが、21gと言うわけだ。
MaxiMuMのメンバーらの「俺らはここに生きているぞ!!」という強い意志に共鳴。21gがMaxiMuMのために楽曲を書き下ろし、『1st FINGER』は誕生した。

現在、DRAGON GATEの試合会場の中、MaxiMuMの入場に合わせ『1st FINGER』が爆音で場内に鳴り響いている。その音が流れたとたん、大勢の人たちが興奮の雄叫びを上げている。
5月に行われた後楽園ホール大会を21gのメンバーらも観戦。MaxiMuMの選手たちの登場に合わせ『1st FINGER』が流れるたびに興奮し続けていた。試合後に21gのメンバーらは、MaxiMuMのメンバーたちと「1st FINGER」を立てながら記念撮影も行った。

音源を聞いていただきたいのはもちろんだが、選手たちの気持ちを鼓舞するために作ったこの歌は、ぜひ試合会場で聞いて欲しい。『1st FINGER』に合わせ入場ゲートから勇ましく登場するときの選手たちの姿を見た瞬間、きっとあなたも「オーッ!!」と声を張り上げるはずだ。

NATCHINは、MaxiMuMのライバルチームであるVERSERK(ヴェルセルク)のテーマ曲『WOLFISH SOLDIER』でもベースを弾いている。元を辿れば、このときのDRAGON GATEとの出会いが、今回のMaxiMuMとのタッグへと繋がった。NATCHINファンは、こちらの楽曲にも注目していただけたら幸いだ。
