フレデリック、歌詞の内容にフォーカスした「たりないeye」MV公開

フレデリックの「たりないeye」のミュージックビデオがA-SketchのYouTube公式チャンネルにて公開された。「たりないeye」はミニアルバム『TOGENKYO』に収録されている楽曲で、ミニアルバムから先行して公開されている「かなしいうれしい」のミュージックビデオは500万再生を超えており、続いて公開された「TOGENKYO」も100万再生超え、とどちらも話題の作品となっている。

「たりないeye」はループするベースラインが主軸のミディアムチューンで、今、メンバーが一番伝えたいメッセージが込められている。タイトルを決めるにあたり、ボーカル・ギターの三原健司が「ライヴやってる最中に自分達が目の前にいるお客さんを見る目と、お客さんが自分達を見る目が、ちゃんと同じ方向を向いてるなっていう感覚が最近凄くあるので、その素晴らしさみたいなものも強く込めたいなと思った。さらに、まだまだこれから一緒に見たい景色もいっぱいあるんだっていう願いとか意志を込めました」と話していたが、まさに今回のツアーでも「TOGENKYO」と同じく大事なポイントを担っており、バンドにとって重要な楽曲となっている。なので今回のミュージックビデオは、特に歌詞の内容にフォーカスさせたいという強い意志のもと、メンバーはシルエットのみでほとんど出演せず、全編に歌詞が映画の字幕のように表示されている。フレデリックのミュージックビデオでは恒例となった謎の美少女が出てくるという共通点はあるものの、過去の作品とは全く違ったテイストのに仕上がっている。

また、今回のワンマンツアーもチケットが完売したため追加公演として新木場スタジオコースト2DAYSが発表されたばかりだが、さらなるリリリピート公演として、台湾単独公演も追加で発表となった。フレデリックが台湾で単独公演を行うのは、2016年の『フレデリズムツアー2016～2017 海外公演』以来、2回目の公演となる。

「シンプルに「たりない」ということをどう見せるか。というところをテーマに二人の女性の関係を描きました。切なくも儚い二人のふわついた関係が崩れたあとの想いを捨てきれない女性の視点で描いた映像です。性別関係なく、友情や、恋愛などでもありうる空虚な瞬間を二人には想い思われる人をそれぞれに演じてもらいました。
今までのフレデリックと良い意味で違う別次元のミュージックビデオになるようにと思い、儚くて美しい映像を目標に作らせていただきました」
