アジカン×FEEDER、対バンツアー開幕

ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONが12月1日（金）・2日（土）に2017年にデビュー20周年を迎えたUKを代表するロックバンド・FEEDERとの対バンツアーをスタートさせ、宮城県・SENDAI GIGSにて、androp、クリープハイプという対バンとしては初顔合わせとなるフレッシュなゲストバンドを迎えての公演を行なった。

今回のツアーでASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONは、現在制作中のアルバムの中から未発表の新曲も披露。その中の1曲「SLEEP」は、アジカン史上初となる、他アーティストから楽曲提供を受けての新曲で、今ツアーの対バン相手、FEEDERのグラント・ニコラス（ボーカル＆ギター）がアジカンのために書き下ろしたもの。FEEDER節とも言える軽快でいて美しいメロディラインにのせ、現在への批評的な目線を持ちながらも未来への希望が歌われる、アジカンならではのポップパンクチューンに仕上がっている。アジカンの新たなビジョン提示とも言えるそんな新曲が、楽曲提供者であるFEEDERとのセッションによって披露される。そこにこのツアーの価値が凝縮されているようでもあった。

12月2日（土）の公演では、後藤正文がFEEDERの想いを代弁する印象的な一幕も。「このツアーが東京と大阪だけではないことにとても意味があると思う。FEEDERのタカさん（ベースのタカ・ヒロセ）は震災当時から僕たちにメッセージをくれて、色んな事をしてくれている。周りのバンドメンバーもとても心を痛めて、日本のことを想ってくれていて。その想いが今こうやってかたちになったことがとても嬉しい」と語り、仙台のファンに向けて感謝の言葉と共にエールを送った。

12月4日（月）と12月5日（火）の2日間は大阪公演、12月7日（木）と12月8日（金）の2日間は東京公演と、残すところあと4公演。ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONというバンドの特異性が際立つ今ツアーを、是非目撃してほしい。
