織田哲郎の還暦バースデーライブに高橋みなみが登場！

織田哲郎が2018年3月11日、満60歳・還暦を迎えた。この記念すべき誕生日に、織田哲郎のファンクラブであるT's CLUB限定のイベント『T's PARTY』が東京・Mt.RAINIER HALL SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASUREにて開催された。還暦と言えば赤。クールなワインレッドのジャケットと黒のタイトなパンツ姿で登場した織田哲郎は、自身が還暦を迎えたことに対して司会から質問を受けると“（今までと）あんまり変わんないよ？”と笑いを交えて答えながら、客席からの温かい拍手にこたえる。サックスの古村敏比古が登場し「ハッピーバースデートゥーユー」のフレーズを吹き始めると会場全体で合唱となったが、ちょっと恥ずかしそうな客席からの歌声に“こんなんじゃ還暦になれないよ！（笑）　もう一回歌うよー!!”と声をかけ、大合唱となった。大合唱がふた回し目に入ると、サプライズ・ゲストとして、高橋みなみが合唱に合わせてメロディを口ずさみながら花束を抱えて登場。小柄な高橋が高身長の織田に花束を手渡す様子に和やかな空気が流れ、会場からは改めて大きな拍手が送られた。

織田哲郎と高橋みなみの繋がりは、2017年にリリースとなった高橋の2ndシングル「孤独は傷つかない」を織田哲郎が楽曲提供したところから。それより以前から織田自身は高橋が初代総監督を務めていたAKB48に楽曲提供をしており、また高橋は織田哲郎の曲が大好きと公言していたが、2017年秋ごろまで会う機会がなかった。その後、テレビ番組での共演をきっかけに連絡先を交換して、高橋と高橋のバンドメンバーと織田とで飲んだこともあるという、なかなか聞けないプライベートなエピソードトークが飛び出した。高橋みなみがどういう時に良い曲が書けるのかを訊くと“仕事してない時の方がポッと浮かんだりするよね”と答える織田。高橋に提供した曲は依頼のあととても早くあがったそうで“一応締切は守ろうとするよね。ただ自分に関しての締切はなかなか守れない（笑）”とのことだが、”今年は（自分の）アルバム出したいよね！”と宣言した織田にこの記念すべき還暦イヤーの間にオリジナルアルバムに出会えるのでは、と期待が広がる。

続いてのライブコーナーでは織田哲郎とは1970年代～80年代初頭からのバンド仲間、黄金メンバーの古村敏比古（Sax）、北島健二（Gtr）、山田わたる（Drs）、関 雅夫（Bass）、大谷哲範（Key）という豪華布陣によるスペシャル編成でお届け。織田の長いアーティスト活動の中でもかなり初期のナンバーからライブ定番曲まで、ファンに休む暇を与えないライブが展開された。 古くからの友人ならではの息の合った演奏に“このメンバーだとすぐ馴染むよね”と織田もリラックスした様子。“誰かが黒い枠に入ってるかもしれないけど（笑）、10年後もこのメンバーでやれんだろ？”と、まだまだこれからもミュージシャンとして突っ走っていく織田哲郎の頼もしい発言も聞けた。ライブの間、織田含めこの日のメンバーの若いころのスタジオリハーサルをおさえたレア映像が流れていたが、織田自身は少し恥ずかしそうにしながらもバンド仲間たちと“この顔、生意気そうだねぇ!!　かわいくないね（笑）”と笑い合い、会場全体が大いに盛り上がった。

3月11日以降、還暦イヤーはスタートしたばかり。すでに5月～6月にかけてワンマンツアーが決定しており、さらにこの後まだまだファンを楽しませる秘策が待ち構えている様子。新しいオリジナルソングも聴きたいところだ。“アルバムを作りたい”と言った織田の言葉を信じたい。ボーカリストとして、ギタリストとして作曲家としてプロデューサーとしてと、さまざまなかたちで長い年数音楽と深く関り続け、今なお勢いは衰えず、むしろさらに新しいことに挑戦し続ける織田哲郎。余裕ある大人の色気もさらに増しながら、少年のような探究心を決して失わないところが、彼が音楽人であり続けることができる所以なのではないだろうか。
