ねごと、ワンマンツアーの最終公演にて音楽と映像が織りなす圧巻のステージを披露

ねごとが4月21日（土）に渋谷 TSUTAYA O-EASTにて『ねごとワンマンツアー2018 『SOAK』 TOUR FINAL』を開催。ねごとは2017年にフルアルバムを2枚、シングルを2枚発表しており、今回のワンマンツアーでは12月にリリースしたフルアルバム『SOAK』を引っ提げて、全国16カ所で開催された。

オープニングSEから、プロジェクターにより投影された映像を背にメンバーが登場。序盤からバンドが奏でる演奏とシンクロする映像とともに「INSIDE OUTSIDE」「DANCER IN THE HANABIRA」など4曲を畳みかける。スタイリッシュで洗練された照明と映像は、彼女たちの持つ華や楽曲に宿る力強さと繊細さをさらに際立たせ、会場を一気にねごとワールドへと引き込む。

演奏形態は蒼山幸子（Key＆Vo）を中心とした基本のバンドセットを軸として、沙田瑞紀（Gu＆Cho）はシンセやラップトップ、サンプラーなど、藤咲 佑（Ba＆Cho）はシンセベース、澤村小夜子（Dr＆Cho）は電子ドラムパッドなども取り入れ、サウンドスケープを構築していく。時折、演出の軸を照明だけにシフトし、「WORLDEND」「school out」といったダンスチューン、そして久しぶりの披露に盛大なクラップが起きた「メルシールー」や「黄昏のラプソディ」など過去の楽曲も最新の楽曲と共に披露された。

会場内の熱気が益々上昇してきた中盤、一瞬の静寂を置きアルバム『SOAK』のラストを飾る「水中都市」がスタート。映像、照明、演奏、歌が重なり合いスケールの大きい幻想的な水中都市という空間を丁寧にエモーショナルに描き出す。蒼山の透き通るような歌声と、沙田、藤咲、澤村のコーラスが溶け合い、ねごと4人の美しいコーラスワークが会場を満たし、大きな拍手が沸いた。

蒼山が“普段のねごとはあんまり自己主張が激しい集団ではないんですけど（笑）、音楽をやっている瞬間はすごく自由になれるんです。『SOAK』は（聴いてくれた人が）気持ちを解放できたり、立ち向かうための力になれるといいな……と思いながら作ったアルバムです”と語り、“伝えたいことは全部音楽に込めたので、今日はツアーファイナル、最後までぶちかましていきたいと思います”と笑うと、最後に6曲をほぼノンストップで演奏。4人は気持ちを解放しながら音を奏でていく。逞しく強かに「nameless」を披露すると、観客もその熱量に感化され、曲中にも大きな歓声が起こった。「アシンメトリ」ではステージ上のメンバーも観客も思い思いに身体を動かして音と戯れる。彼女たちが目指していた理想が現実のものとなったその景色は壮観だった。

“今日はありがとう”という蒼山の言葉に続き届けられたラストは土曜日のツアーファイナルに相応しい「サタデーナイト」。東京の夜の街を映し出した映像はドリーミーというよりはリアリティがあり、歌詞を噛みしめて歌う蒼山の姿をさらにシンボリックなものにしていた。

アンコールでは「真夜中のアンセム」と、「シンクロマニカ」「ETERNALBEAT」をリミックスアレンジで披露。4人は最後まで自然体で瞬間瞬間を楽しみ、楽曲と同化しながら感情と音楽をフロアーへと届ける。蒼山は“どんどん楽しんでもらえるような、面白いって思ってもらえるような音楽を発信していきたいと思うので、付いてきてくれますか？”と観客に呼びかけ、賛同するような歓声を浴びて微笑んだ。ねごとが約10年のバンド人生のなかでも最上級に充実していることを実感する、圧巻のツアーファイナルとなった。
