ねごと、スピッツのカバー「空も飛べるはず」が『トリガール！』主題歌に

9月1日に全国公開される映画『トリガール！』の主題歌に、ねごとがカバーしたスピッツの名曲「空も飛べるはず」が起用されることが明らかになった。

94年にリリースされた「空も飛べるはず」。スピッツのシングル史上初のオリコン1位を獲得し、ミリオンセラーを記録。スピッツの数ある楽曲の中でも大ヒットした名曲のひとつで、これまで幾多のアーティストによりカバーされてきた。

今回、その「空も飛べるはず」が、ねごとのカバーによりこれまで一度も実現してこなかった、カバーでの映画主題歌への起用が初めて実現する。ボーカルの蒼山幸子は「スピッツさんはロックもポップも、甘さも鋭さも、両極端のものを兼ね備えた最強にかっこいい、昔から憧れのバンド。その中でも「空も飛べるはず」という名曲すぎるこの曲を、こうして公式にカバーさせて頂くことができるなんて、ほんとうにドキドキしました。夢みたいなお話です」とコメントしている。

また、挿入歌「ALL RIGHT」は、ねごとの書き下ろし楽曲。映画中盤で、高杉真宙演じる“髙橋圭"の大怪我による人力飛行サークル“Team Birdman Trial"のピンチに、土屋太鳳演じる“鳥山ゆきな"と、間宮祥太朗演じる“坂場大志"がパイロットコンビとして、100人近いサークルメンバーの想いを背負うことを決意し、トレーニングに打ち込むシーンで流れる。蒼山は、「疾走感を意識した曲」「青春時代の瞬間的に光るものにときめいて、それを追いかけることで切なくなったり強くなったりするあの感じを描けたらなと思って描いた歌詞」と語るとおり、爽やかだが、力強さにあふれた一曲となっている。

映画の予告編は6月30日より劇場にて解禁される。

「トリガール！」をはじめて見させていただいたとき、太鳳ちゃん演じる主人公のゆきなちゃんが人間らしくてまっすぐでとても魅力的な女の子でとても素敵だなぁと、思いました。同じ女性として、そんな風に思える素敵な女の子が主人公の「トリガール！」に関わることができてとても嬉しく思っています。
スピッツさんは個人的にはロックもポップも、甘さも鋭さも、両極端のものを兼ね備えた最強にかっこいいバンドだと思っていて、本当に昔から憧れのバンドでした。その中でも「空も飛べるはず」という名曲すぎるこの曲を、こうして公式にカバーさせて頂くことができるなんて、ほんとうにドキドキしました。夢みたいなお話です。原曲のすばらしさをそのままに、映画を彩ることのできるようなテンポとアレンジを考えながら、胸いっぱいの気持ちで歌わせて頂きました。
挿入歌の「ALL RIGHT」は、映画の中でゆきなちゃんと坂場先輩がとうとう本気を出し、力を合わせて練習に取り組んでいく！という、ガッツのあるシーンで流れるということをうかがい、疾走感を意識して曲を作っていきました。歌詞は、青春時代の瞬間的に光るものにときめいて、それを追いかけることで切なくなったり強くなったりするあの感じを描けたらなと思いながら、ちょっと強気なゆきなちゃんだったらきっと「It's all right！」と言うだろうなあと考えながら書かせていただきました。ぜひ、ねごとの音楽と一緒に、作品を楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです！

聴いた瞬間、“ゆきな”の夏へタイムスリップしました。草の香りとか、陽炎が浮かぶアスファルトの熱とか、周りの景色がどんどん後ろに飛んでくロードバイクの風とか、せつない夕焼けの琵琶湖とか、そういった“ゆきな"の記憶が、ねごとさんの放つ音に存在してるんです。しかも全力で…！最高。この夏はこの音で飛びたい！

■間宮祥太朗（“狂犬"と呼ばれるパイトッロ班の先輩／坂場大志役）
「空も飛べるはず」は、カラオケでも歌ったりする馴染みの深い楽曲です。ねごとさんの「空も飛べるはず」を初めて聴いた時、優しい気持ちになれました。最後のエンドロールで、ねごとさんの歌声が流れてくると1シーン1シーン、色んなシーンが思い返されて、映画をもう一度味わう様な心地良い時間を過ごさせて頂ける楽曲でした。

■高杉真宙（人力飛行サークルT.B.Tの部長兼パイロット班の先輩／髙橋圭役）
ねごとさんが歌う主題歌を初めて聴いたのが「トリガール！」初号の日だったんです。
実は「トリガール！」撮影中、スピッツさんの「空も飛べるはず」をリピートして聴いてたのもあって、ねごとさんが歌う曲を聴いたとき、個人的にすごくテンションが上がりました。
そして、ねごとさんが歌っていることによって、「空も飛べるはず」の良いところに、青春感だったり柔らかさだったりがプラスされ、すごく素敵だなと思います。

ねごとさんの『空も飛べるはず』を聞いた時、ガチのトリ肌が立ちました。「こりゃ飛べる！」と思いました。挿入歌『ALL RIGHT』も、ねごとさんが映像見て作ってくれたのでサイコーです。可愛くって、ノリ良くって、ドライブして、土屋太鳳ちゃん演じるゆきなは、きっとカラオケで熱唱するはずです。
