大人の本気の遊びを見せてやる。それが、KraとNoGoDが合体したバンド「ブリキのサーカス団」!!

Kra(景夕/結良)＋NoGoD(団長/Kyrie/Sinno/K)=ブリキのサーカス団。そろそろ、その説明がなくとも、彼らの存在は世の中へしっかり認知され始めているようだ。
ブリキのサーカス団は、3月に東名阪ワンマンツアー「サーカスが街にやってくる」を行い、産声を上げる。同ツアーの中、ブリキのサーカス団としての初音源となる『Enter the Circus』も、会場限定Mカード作品として販売になる。

ところで、何故ブリキのサーカス団という名前なのか。それを団長は、「Kraさんの持つファンタジーでメルヘンな世界観を、僕は「ブリキの旗」というイメージになぞらえて捉えていた。自分は昔からサーカスという存在やテーマが好きで、ズーッと道化寄りの衣装を身につけている。そこからメルヘンな形を持ったサーカス団を作れないかと思い、ブリキのサーカス団という言葉を思い浮かべました」と語ってくれた。加えて、「２つのバンドが１つのバンドの中へ混在している、ライブでは、オリジナル曲はもちろん。互いのバンドの曲を、この6人だからこその形にアレンジして演奏もしていきます。それもあって、お互いのバンドのイメージに紐付いた名前としてブリキのサーカス団と名付けたところもありました」とも伝えてきた。

団長の話にもあるように、3月に行う東名阪ツアーでは、ブリキのサーカス団としてのオリジナル曲と同時に、KraとNoGoDの楽曲もブリキのサーカス団バージョンにアレンジして演奏する。1人で歌っていた曲たちが、どんな風にツインヴォーカルバージョンに進化していくのか、とても興味深い。
団長とKyrieが手がけたオリジナル曲第一弾となる『Enter the Circus』は、ラップの掛け合いなども用いたミスクチャーロックな楽曲へ仕上がりそうだ。ただし、彼らは一つのスタイルに固執しているわけではない。団長も、「『Enter the Circus』に関しては、自分の捉えるサーカスというイメージを踏襲しつつ、ちょっとシニカルな物語風の楽曲として表現はしていますけど。サーカスって綱渡りだけではなくいろんな出し物があるように、全部が一緒なわけではない。いろんなタイプの歌詞や曲調があっていいと思う」と語っているように、どんな楽曲が飛び出すのかも楽しみにしたいところ。事実、景夕と結良が手がけるオリジナル曲第二弾について、景夕が「ちょっと毒々しい飛び道具的な楽曲になりそうな予感を覚えています」と語っているように、彼らは、我々の予測を越えた表現をいろいろ取り揃えようとしている。結良も「お互いの楽曲をまるまるコピーする気はさらさらないように、この6人だからこそのアレンジが、どう互いの曲たちに反映していくか」と語るように、初ライブでどんな衝撃が飛び出すのか。これまでのKraやNoGoDのライブでは味わったことのない彼らの姿も堪能出来そうだけに、是が非でも目撃しておきたいところ。最後に、団長の言葉をお届けしよう。その言葉にこそ、ブリキのサーカス団の存在意義が詰め込まれている。

「大人の本気の遊びっていうものを見せてやろうかなという気持ちです。その辺のセッションバンドのような片手間なものではない、「心血注いでやっている大人な遊びは本当に楽しいんだぞ」という姿が観ている側に伝わればいいなと思っています」(団長)
