馬場俊英、23年間の歩みの中からマスターピース(代表曲)を20曲セレクト。

昨年は、根本要(スターダスト☆レビュー)やKAN、SING LIKE TALKINGなど9人のシンガーやグループとコラボレートして作りあげたアルバム『ステップ・バイ・ステップ』を手に、アコースティック/バンドと2つのスタイルに分けた全国ツアーを実施。同ツアーのファイナル公演を、12月20日に大阪NHKホールで行った。根本要(スターダスト☆レビュー) 、ＫＡＮ、加藤いづみ、玉城千春(Kiroro)、池田綾子、光永亮太、森大輔がゲスト参加したスペシャルライブ「STEP BY STEP CONCERT 2018」の模様が、5月25日にLIVE DVDとしてリリースになることがこのたび告知された。あの時は、コラボレートという形を取ることで馬場俊英の楽曲の中へ新しい風を吹き込んだように、新鮮な顔をアルバムとライブの両方で楽しむことが出来た。
そんな馬場俊英が次に選んだ挑戦が、改めて自分の歩んできた奇跡を、生の歌声を響かせるライブを通してまとめあげること。馬場俊英として歩み始めて、早20年以上の歳月が経過。デビューから数えても23年の年月を彼は時代の中へ刻んできた。そのオールタイム(23年)な歴史の中から、今回、馬場俊英自身が「心のカンバスへ強烈に描きあげた」思い入れの深い20曲をセレクト。それを昨年同様、アコースティック/バンドという2つのスタイルを通し、その日ごと会場に生まれる真っ白なカンバスへ描くライブを7本行うことを発表した。
ツアーのタイトルが、「馬場俊英 LIVE TOUR 2019～落書きとマスターピース」。
これまでにもライブを通して熟成し続けてきたマスターピース(代表曲)たちを、同じく熟練した歌の筆を持つ馬場俊英が、どんな新鮮な気持ちに戻り、7つのカンバス(会場)へ厳選した20曲を描き上げるのか。ブログ(http://www.babatoshihide.com/info/detail.php?id=3421)では20曲と書いていたが、さらに楽曲が増えるのか、7会場すべてに異なるマスターピース(楽曲)も並べるのか。その辺も気になるところだ。
先にも触れたように、馬場俊英は、今回のツアーで「オールタイム」という言葉を用いていた。彼自身の23年の歩みが、どんな風に真っ白な地平線(カンバス)の中で手を取りあうのか。
想像するだけで、とてもワクワクしてしまう。
チケットは、4月13日(土)より発売になる。ぼやぼやしていたら手に入らなくなるように、気持ちが動いたなら、想いのまま行動に移して欲しい。
そして、馬場俊英の名曲たちが、どんな風に今の息吹を吸って深みを増した絵(歌)になるのかを楽しんでいただきたい。

【馬場俊英プロフィール】
シンガーソングライター。1996年にメジャーデビュー。これまでに20枚のアルバムをリリース。ストーリー性の高い歌詞とそこに登場する人物像を生き生きと描写しメッセージを投げかける楽曲は幅広い世代に支持を得ている。2007年にはNHK紅白歌合戦に出場し「スタートライン～新しい風」を歌唱。 毎年数多くのツアーを行いながら多くの人の心に響く名曲を生み出し続けている。2018年9月には全曲コラボレーションアルバム「ステップ・バイ・ステップ」をリリースし話題を集める。今夏ベストセレクションで構成する全国７会場でのホールツアー「LIVE TOUR 2019〜落書きとマスターピース」を開催。6月15日（土）にはティアラこうとう大ホールでの東京公演が控えている。
