UNDER FALL JUSTICEがMV集を出す理由とは…。

今は、新曲や作品のリード曲を作るのに合わせ、MVを制作し、YouTube上にアップするのが当たり前になっている。むしろ今は、映像を通して楽曲を聴かせないと、そもそも興味を示さない人たちが増えている。
　同時に、MVは今やYouTube上で無料で楽しむものになっている。1本のMVを作るのにサラリーマンの月給何ヶ月分もの経費がかかるにも関わらず、無償で観ることを当然としている環境が生まれたことにより、表現する側は、負担を強いてでも大衆が求めるものを作らざるを得ないのが今の状況だ。
　かつては、MV集という形で、その制作費を補てんする形があった。今は、それさえも作品のおまけとして使われることがほとんどになっている。だからこそUNDER FALL JUSTICEは、あえて今の時代にMV集を提示した。

　8月12日(水)、UNDER FALL JUSTICEは6本収録のMV集『精神の底にある痛みと救い』を発売する。収録中、4本は既発の映像になる。そこへ新たに撮り下ろした2本の新作を加える形で、この作品は成り立っている。ティザー映像(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGZsaBIOt7g)を観ていただければわかるように、どの映像にもUNDER FALL JUSTICEらしい「絶望の淵から生を感じ、つかみ取ろうとしている様」が描き出されている。もちろん、彼ららしいグロテスクな世界観もあるだろう。むしろ本作からは、光を覚える映像のほうが際立って見えてきた。
バンドの本質は、単体ではなく、一つ一つのこだわりをまとめあげた作品集に触れてこそ、より深く見えてゆくもの。アーティストがアルバムをだすのと、MV集を作り上げるのも、そこは同じ。1本の作品として流れを持って観ていただくことで、そのバンドの本質や伝えたい意図が、より明瞭になっていく。
話題性や売り文句で未発表映像を収録したのではない。その作品を形作るピースとして必要だからこそ、UNDER FALL JUSTICEは新たに2本の撮り下ろし映像を収録した。そこの意図まで踏まえたうえで、本作に触れて欲しい。

この時代にMV集を発売する理由。その意図をしっかり読み取ったうえで、UNDER FALL JUSTICEの示した映像集に触れていただきたい。
