今年のウォーターランフェスティバルはイケメンとイケてるキッズたちを中心にしたサマーパーティー

2016年に始めて以降、毎年8月に開催。「エンタメ・音楽」「水掛け」「マラソン」の3つの要素を融合した日本最大級の水かけ祭り、それが「ウォーターランフェスティバル」。
10代～20代の女性層を中心に、これまでに65000人以上動員してきたこのイベント。一昨年までは、野外フェスとして開催。「10万個の水風船が飛び交う水風船バトル」や「ウォーターガンで撃ち合う水鉄砲バトル」など、観客参加型のイベントを多数用意。体感する楽しさを一番の魅力に据えてきた。
毎年、イベントに花を添えるアーティストやタレントたちも豪華絢爛。過去には、仮面女子、ダレノガレ明美、りゅうちぇる、道端アンジェリカ、Daice、はるな愛、ROLAND、ラファエルなど、その時代を彩った人たちが登場。ライブやファッションショー、トークなどでイベントを盛り上げてきた。
本当なら、昨年も行なうはすだったが、コロナ禍で中止に。今年は屋内での開催に変更になった。先にお伝えしておくと、来年以降からは、ふたたび野外フェスとして催そうとすでに動き出している。ただし、屋内だからと残念がることはない。逆に、インドアだからこその楽しみ方を多数用意。連年とは異なる視点で「ウォーターランフェスティバル」を味わえる。

今年の「ウォーターランフェスティバル」は、8月7日(土)と8日(日)、NEW PIER HALLを舞台に各日2部構成で行なわれる。今回の大きな特色が、「次代を彩る人たちの発掘」。
その一つが、女子中学生に支持を得ている「Cuugal」とタイアップしたガールズオーディション最終審査の開催。さらに、CuugalイメージモデルHinataを筆頭に、専属モデルたちによるファッションショー、スタジオシエルとのコラボ浴衣コレクションショーも行なわれる。
二つめが、キッズDJオーディションの優勝者の「DJ☆noa」「DJSkullnicole」と、大勢のキッズダンス＋プロダンサーとのコラボレーション。どんな予想だにしないパフォーマンスが飛びだすのか、期待せずにいれない内容だ。

もちろん、「ウォーターランフェスティバル」一番の見どころになるライブにも、多彩なゲストが登場する。 それが、以下のラインナップになる。

8月7日(土)

8月8日(日)
「イケメン祭」at 笹森裕貴、鳥越裕貴、糸川耀士郎、大﨑捺希、吉澤翼、健人、三橋かおる。

7日目に出演するAlbaNox、AnFiNi、TRY＆ERA。8日目を彩る"2.5次元俳優"たち。2日間に渡り、次代を担う若手イケメンアーティストや俳優たちが舞台を華やかに染めてゆく。

主催者側からは、以下のコメントも寄せられた。

　2021年夏の「ウォーターランフェスティバル」は、次代を彩る「キッズ」「イケメン」を中心に、イケジョが揃ったFAKYに、両方の魅力を備えたlolなど、未来を先取りする逸材たちを楽しめるラインナップになっている。お馴染みの水掛けができない代わりに、イケメンやイケジョ、イケてるキッズたちの魅力を、身体中に降り注いでもらいたい。
