あなたは、本当の「混沌」を知っているか…。その答えをHOLLOW SHADEがアルバムを通して示してきた。

新潟を拠点に活動しているHOLLOW SHADEから、嬉しいニュースが届いた。4月12日、HOLLOW SHADEは1stフルアルバム『ABySS』を発売する。「混沌・奈落の底」などの意味を持つ"ABySS"という言葉をタイトルに命名。収録した曲たちも、その言葉に相応しい混沌とした痛い感情のドラマが収録した12曲(2曲はインストナンバー)の中から見えてくる。ただし、混沌という言葉で簡単に集約出来るような歌詞の内容でも、音楽性でもないことは先に伝えておく。気になる方は、先に、以下の映像を耳にしてほしい。

冒頭を飾ったゴシックでシンフォニックな音楽性に触れたとたん、心が踊っただろう。そこから広がったグロウルナンバーやメロデス曲、シンフォニックでメロディアスな表情、スピーディーでダーク&メロな楽曲など、音楽性も幅広ければ、混沌とした感情を描いた詩世界にも、興奮を覚えただろうか。奈落へ落ちるだけではなく、しっかりと未来や光も向いて叫ぶ内容もある。よくありがちな、痛みへ寄り添う名目のもと、ただただ感情をグロテスクになぶる歌とはHOLLOW SHADEは一線を画している。気持ちを前へ勧めたいからこそ、彼らはしっかりと、見たくない感情にも目を向け、その痛みをあえて抉りだすことで、自分たちの理想や憧れるべき姿になろうと思いを馳せている。揺れ、乱れる感情を、極力リアルに描き出し、そこへ現実や理想という色を彼らは塗してゆく。

HOLLOW SHADEは、3月5日(日)新潟CLUB RIVERSTと3月10日(金)巣鴨獅子王にて行うライブの場で、1stフルアルバム『ABySS』を先行販売する。彼らが描いた"様々な感情の物語"に早く触れたい方は,、この機会を上手く活用してもらいたい。
