READ ALOUD、初のクアトロライブにて30分に及ぶショートムービーを上映

12月7日、READ ALOUDが東京・渋谷CLUB QUATTROにてワンマンライブを開催した。会場を埋めた満員のオーディエンスで、バンド初のクアトロライブは大盛況となった。

幻想的なブルーの照明の中、1曲目の「未だ黄昏が咆吼るなら」を情熱的に歌い上げると2曲目からはパワー全開。ボーカルのクワタユウキがクアトロライブにかける思いを、集まってくれたファンに感謝の念と共に伝えた後は、最新アルバムから「風が吹くから」「月と太陽」を披露。中盤ではバンドのテクニカルな側面を存分に堪能できるインストゥルメンタルでグルーヴを一気に上げると、ラストの「タイムトラベラー」まで一気に駆け抜けた。アンコールを求める拍手に促され、再びステージに登場すると、2015年のツアーが発表された。2014年は全国各地でのライブにアルバムリリースと精力的な活動を送ってきたREAD ALOUDだが、2015年もとどまることなく年初より活動をスタート。さらに加速していくバンドからは目が離せない。

また今回、ライブの冒頭では、長編監督作品「FORMA」で、第26回東京国際映画祭2013 日本映画スプラッシュ部門 作品賞や第64回ベルリン国際映画祭2014 フォーラム部門 国際映画批評家連盟賞など国内外で数々の賞に輝く坂本あゆみ監督の最新作となるショートムービーが初上映された。このショートムービーは、READ ALOUDが11月5日にリリースした3rdミニアルバム『アカンサス』から「君の声を思い出す」「タイムトラベラー」など数曲をフィーチャリング。歌詞の内容やテーマを元に坂本氏によりストーリーが脚色された。ショートムービーの全編はおよそ30分にも及ぶ大作で、坂本氏にとって「FORMA」以来の意欲作となった。このショートムービー「アカンサス」は12月18日（木）よりGYAO!で無料配信がスタートになる予定なので、坂本あゆみ監督の最新作が気になる人はぜひ、チェックしよう。

なお、READ ALOUDの5月のツアーのチケット先行予約が公式サイトにて実施中とのこと。気になった人はいち早く申し込んでおこう。
