【SCANDAL】デビュー5周年記念パーティーで555名のファンにアルバム5作連続TOP5入りを報告

　SCANDALが10月8日、ニューアルバム『STANDARD』購入者の中から抽選会当選者を招待し「アルバム『STANDARD』発売記念、ファン555人とデビュー5周年記念パーティー」を実施した。

　SCANDALは2008年10月22日（水）にFM/AM/CS局から40を超えるパワープレイを獲得し話題となった「DOLL」でデビューし、デビュー5周年イヤースタートが間もなくとなる。大阪発のバンドの夢の舞台・大阪城ホールワンマンライヴを今年3月に達成した後、1発目のアルバム『STANDARD』は5枚目の作品となっており、今までは「夢を応援・夢をかなえたい」と歌ってきた所から「誰かのためのアルバムを作りたい」という気持ちの変化も表現されている大切な1枚となっている。

　そんなアルバムリリースを記念して、「5周年」にかけたイベント、「SCANDALアルバム『STANDARD』発売記念、ファン555人とデビュー5周年記念パーティー」を実施。このイベントには10月5日（土）に渋谷・マルイシティにて行なわれた「アルバム購入者対象抽選会」にて当選した555人が招待された。

　当日、18:40にイベントはスタート。イベント冒頭、5周年にかけて「5曲」のライヴパフォーマンスを披露した。1曲目の「OVER DRIVE」は中田ヤスタカ（CAPSULE）が初めてバンドの楽曲プロデュースを手掛けて話題となった曲。続いて、「下弦の月」「会わないつもりの、元気でね」と、オリコンウィークリーチャートTOP10入りをしているヒットシングルを立て続けにパフォーマス。ヴォーカルHARUNAの「今年に入って結成を振り返ることが多くて、ダンス＆ボーカルスクールでバンドを始めて、正真正銘のガールズバンドだ！と胸を張って言える様になって。人生本当に変わったな、と思っています。結成した『8月』の事を歌いました。皆も大切な人を思い浮かべて聞いて欲しいです」というMCの後に、アルバム「STANDARD」に収録のバンドの結成を歌った曲「8月」、そして、「SCANDAL BABY」とパフォーマンスをし大盛況の内にライヴが終了した。

　メンバーが一旦ハケた後、ステージ上に再登場。アルバムの話では「人生の1/3、バンドをやっています。あきらめかけた夢も忘れずに生きて行って欲しいな、という思いを込めて作りました」と、ドラムのRINAが思いを語った。

　続くトークパートでは「くす玉」が登場。SCANDALは昨年9月に発売した4枚目のアルバム『Queens are trumps -切り札はクイーン-』にてデビュー作から4作連続TOP5という、ガールズバンド史上初の快挙を達成。数多のガールズバンド、誰もが成し得なかった大記録を、この度、5枚目のアルバム『STANDARD』において自身が記録更新となり、「ガールズバンド史上初記録更新！-デビュー作から5作連続TOP5入り-」と書かれた「くす玉」でその記録更新を祝った。

　記録更新に関して、RINAは「（私達は）まだまだロックできるし、日本ってすごいんだ！って所を発信して行きたくて日本の良い所を世界の人に知ってほしいと思って海外にも行ったりしています。日本で一番カッコイイガールズバンドになりたい！と思っています。」とこの結果にただ満足せず、まだまだ上に行きたい気持ちを語った。

　その後、SCANDALメンバーへはサプライズで、同レーベルの先輩であり親交深いT.M.Revolution、SCANDALのデビュー当時から応援していたというリリー・フランキー、SCANDALが初めてオリコンウィークリーチャート10位内にランクイン、そしてその年（2009年）第51回輝く！日本レコード大賞新人賞を受賞しSCANDALの存在を一躍世間に知らせた楽曲3rdシングル「少女S」と4thシングル「夢見るつばさ」のMV監督を手掛けた品川ヒロシから5周年お祝い動画コメントが届き、上映された。このサプライズにSCANDALメンバーからは驚きの声が。

　その後は集まった555人＋SCANDAL4人の559人と記念撮影をし、集まったファンに感謝を述べ、イベントは終了となった。

　イベントの中でSCANDALメンバーが何度も「ずっとバンドを、SCANDALを続けていきたい」と語っていた様に、続く6年、そして10周年、20周年と、SCANDALが今後も更なる飛躍間違いない事を印象付けた一夜となった。
