グリーヴァが新ドラマーに優冴を迎え、次なるステージへ向けた単独公演を開催

これまでも幾度となく単独公演を行い続けてきたが、今まではあえて小箱の会場を選び、ファンたちと密接な中での熱狂を描き続けてきたグリーヴァ。しかし、その環境に限界が来たことや、グリーヴァとして次のステージへ進むための一つの成果を導くため、彼らはTSUTAYA O-WESTを舞台に2月1日(日)に単独公演「青天ノ霹靂-赤イ月ト×××-」を行った。


この日は、新ドラマー優冴を迎えたお披露目も兼ねたライブ。優冴の初ステージが、グリーヴァにとって大きなターニングポイントとなるワンマンライブというところへ、
新生グリーヴァとして大きな飛躍を描きたいという彼らの意気込みも見えてきた。

ライブは、新曲『自己精神殺害推進會』からスタート。狂鬼の「殺せ!(×5)」の煽りを受け、観客たちも、荒ぶり疾走してゆく演奏の上で「殺せ!(×5)」コールを舞台上に返していた。早くも場内には、熱気が渦巻いてゆく。

互いに高ぶった感情を戦わせあった『中絶』や、激しさと勢いを前面に押し出した『蜥-tokage-』『Dead[en]D』など活動当初から演奏してきた楽曲たちから、『僕ノ自殺理論』や『罰-batsu-』のよう近年発売したフリーキーな曲たちまで、この日のグリーヴァは、結成から現在に至る2年半の中、彼らのライブの中心を担ってきた曲たちを多くぶつけてきた。たとえ時代を経ようが、どの曲からも「剥き出しな感情をぶつけあう熱狂の風景を描く曲たち」という明確な指針が見えてきたところに、彼らのぶれない意志を実感。

この日も、興奮したヴォーカルの狂鬼が、手にした水を口に含み、何度も何度も観客たちに吹きかければ、感情のストッパーが外れるたびに彼は幾度となく客席にダイブしていた。ステージ上で転げまわりながら歌った『黒蟻ノ群レ』。客席へ飛び込み、観客たちと激しくまみれあった『潔癖症ノ僕。』。みずからの股間をまさぐり熱唱。サビでは「拝啓、愛しの」「アイドル様」の掛け合いも登場した『拝啓、愛しのアイドル様へ』。

この日は、4月29日に3枚同時発売するシングル盤『操リ人形』『絶望ノ朝』『Fake』もいち早く披露。どれもライブで熱狂描くに相応しい煽り/ヘドバン/逆ダイ系ナンバーだけに、観客たちもしっかり熱狂の渦へ溺れていた。

本編最後を飾った『刑法第39条第1項「心神喪失者ノ行為ハ之ヲ罰セス」』では、狂鬼やギターの碌が客席へダイブすれば、観客たちもズッと逆ダイし続けていた。2回目のアンコールの最後に披露したのは本日、２回目の『中絶』。誰もが手で十字を切るポーズを描きながら熱狂。むしろグリーヴァのライブは、終始会場中が"暴れ祭り"と化していたと言ったほうが正しいだろう。

ライブ中も「死ね!」と叫んだりと、「絶望」を歌うことを表現の軸に据えてきたグリーヴァだが、「生きてください」と光射す想いを歌いかけた『君ノ存在理論』は、彼らの新しい表現スタイルを描き出した楽曲。

この日のライブでは「闇の感情」を突きつけるのみならず「光求めゆく想い」も提示していたのも、今後のグリーヴァの行く末を探るうえで興味くすぐる視点の一つになっていきそうだ。「お前たちは日頃感じている憤りや不安、全部ここに吐き出していってくれ。全部俺がもらってやる。

感情と感情でぶつかりあいましょう」と叫んだ狂鬼の言葉通り、グリーヴァのライブには、心のストッパーを外し、野獣な自分になれる場がつねに用意されている。ぜひ一度、彼らのライブへ飛び込んでみては如何だろうか??

今後のグリーヴァだが、先にも軽く触れたように、4月29日(水)に『絶望ノ朝』『操リ人間』『Fake』とシングル盤を3枚同時リリースする。7月1日(水)には、ミニアルバム『妄想主義者ノ背徳。』も発売。同日には、グリーヴァの生誕3周年を祝う、高田馬場AREAでイベント「闇市-弐-」も開催する。

今後もグリーヴァの動向からは目を離さずにいて欲しい。
