サイコ・ル・シェイム、復活の3日間が終幕

サイコ・ル・シェイムが開催した3日間にわたる結成15周年記念の復活ライヴが、2月15日のZepp DiverCity TOKYOでもって完結した。

昨年、自らのデビュー記念日である10月2日に、2015年の2月11日に豊洲PIT、14日＆15日にZepp DiverCity TOKYOにて、『Psycho le Cemu 15th Anniversary Live TOKYO PARALLEL WORLD』と題した結成15周年アニバーサリーライヴを行うことを発表したサイコ・ル・シェイム。

初日であった11日の豊洲PITでは、サブタイトルどおり、【はじまりの奇跡】を感じさせる、まったく色褪せることのない素晴しい景色を魅せてくれた彼ら。

メンバーカラーのペンライトでフロアが埋め尽くされるのは、彼らサイコ・ル・シェイムのライヴの特色でもあるのだが、最終日であった15日は、前日の2日間よりもその光の数が増していたように思った。そう。きっと、初めて彼らのライヴを観たオーディエンスが、彼らのライヴの楽しみ方を改めて知り、そこに花を添えることとなったのだろう。まさに、光の連鎖。その鮮やかな光の絨毯は、どんな演出よりも彼らを輝かせる、サイコ・ル・シェイムのライヴには欠かすことのできない演出なのである。

この3日間を通して思ったのだが、彼らをインディーズ時代から支えるファンたちももちろん、確実に彼らには今、新たなファンが付いているということ。当初の活動期間に、生で彼らのライヴを体験したことのない世代が、噂を伝え聞き、この復活の時に集まったのだろう。まさに。この3日間は、ただ昔を懐かしむだけの15周年アニバーサリーライヴではなく、【はじまりの奇跡】を感じさせるモノだと確信した。

彼らはこの3日間、すべてセットリストの内容を変えてライヴに挑んだのだが、2日目であった14日は、『～思い出のあの時へ～』というサブタイトルが物語るように、インディーズ時代の懐かしめな楽曲を中心に届け、最終日15日は、上手ギターのAYAとドラムのYURAサマがボーカルのDAISHIの両脇を固め、パフォーマーとなってライヴを盛り上げる彼らならではの魅せ方を持つ「MEGATRON」「激愛メリーゴーランド」をオープニングナンバーに置き、間髪入れずに煽り曲とされるディープな音色で激しく畳み掛けられる「聖～excalibur～剣」「インドラの矢」「LOVE IS DEAD」でロックバンドとしての真髄を見せつけてくれたのだった。

世の中的に、硬派で飾り気のないバンドが称賛を受け、彼らのようなエンタテイメント性を重視したバンドはどうしてか軽視される傾向にあるが、観る者をこんなにも楽しませながらも、しっかりとロックバンドとしての真髄を貫き通せるバンドこそ、もっと高い評価を得て良いと思う。まさに、彼らサイコ・ル・シェイムこそ、称讃に値する“求められるべきバンド"であると思うのだ。

彼らは活動期に、『Newsweek』の【世界が尊敬する日本人100人】特集で掲載された過去を持つほど、他に類のない、誇るべきバンドなのである。中盤に吹き替えのお芝居を挟むのも彼らのライヴの特徴なのだが、この日も、今回の復活を意味するストーリーに沿った“サイコ・ル・シェイム結成の経緯"がお芝居で演じられ、アンコールではDAISHIが、最終日のサブタイトルとしていた『～あの場所を夢見て～』という言葉の中にある【あの場所】を目指す宣言とも思える挨拶を残した。

必ずライヴのラストに歌われてきた「Remembrance」を最後にアンコールが締めくくられたのだが、退場を促す場内放送がかかっているにも関わらず、オーディエンスは大きな声で「Remembrance」を歌い、彼らをステージへと呼び戻し、彼らはその声に「聖～excalibur～剣」を返したのだった。

最高の景色の中、復活の3日間は幕を閉じたのだが、この日、最後に会場にはラストシングルであった「LOVE IS DEAD」のカップリング曲である「しばしの別れ」が流された。そこにはこんな歌詞がある。【いつか時代を背負うから いまは しばしの別れ】 まさに。その歌詞は、次に会うまでの彼らの心情と、この先の未来を物語っているかのようだった。あの場所を夢見て、今、未来は始まった。彼らサイコ・ル・シェイムの未来が明るいモノであってくれることを切に願う。

なお、16日からサイコ・ル・シェイムのオフィシャルモバイルファンクラブがスタート。4月には2月11日「豊洲PIT」の模様がWOWOWにて放送される。
