ゲスの極み乙女。、話題の新曲MVはシュールな世界観と謎の女性に注目

ゲスの極み乙女。が2ndシングル「私以外私じゃないの」をiTunesで先行配信をスタートさせた。また、同曲のMVも遂に解禁となった。

能楽堂でピンクの衣装に身を纏いストイックに演奏し続けるメンバーと、奇妙な歌舞伎メイクを施した謎の女性が共演を繰り広げるという、なんともシュールな世界観となっている今回のMVは、どんな状況においても、自分以外自分ではないという川谷が曲に込めた意志を極端に映像化した作品だ。

今回の撮影はメンバーは、朝から夜まで演奏シーンに終始した撮影となったが、メンバー以上に稼働時間も撮影箇所も多かった謎の女性の動きにも是非ご注目いただきたい。

今回のPVの舞台はなんと能楽堂。歌舞伎メイクをした謎の女性とピンクの衣装を着たメンバーが一緒に演奏しています。この一見脈絡の無い組み合わせですが、「私以外私じゃないの」というタイトルからもわかるようにどんな状況でも自分以外自分ではないという僕が曲に込めた意志を極端に映像化しています。と真面目に言いましたが、単純にこのシュールな映像が面白い。何回も見たくなるPVだと思います。ハードな撮影を乗り越えてくれた歌舞伎メイクの謎の女性に感謝。

今作はメンバーの映像に対するイメージがしっかりありましたので、まずそこを自分なりにどう消化しながら演出して行くかという事に重点を置きました。今作において演出の1つの肝と言える、メンバーと奇抜なメイクをした謎の女性との共演。早朝からあの奇抜な風貌で、都内各所で撮影するというハードな要求に対し、楽しみがら積極的に臨んでくれた彼女の姿に脱帽。突飛な表現も違和感無く自分達の世界観に持って行ってしまうゲスの極み乙女。の音楽性の深さを、今回の作品を演出しながら再認識させられました。
