NICO Touches the Walls、ツアー初日の豊洲PITで大人な新曲を初披露

NICO Touches the Wallsの全国ツアー「NICO Touches the Walls TOUR 2015 “まっすぐなツアー"」が、5月21日（木）の東京・豊洲PIT公演から開幕した。

2年前に開催した「new balance presents NICO Touches the Walls TOUR 2013"Shout to the Walls!"」以降は、1カ月で20公演を同じ会場で行う籠城型ライヴや初のベスト盤のリリース、2度目の東京・日本武道館公演の実施、アコースティックアルバム『Howdy!! We are ACO Touches the Walls』の発表など、バンドとして新たな試みを展開していた4人。

「今日は来てくれてありがとう！」という光村龍哉（Vo, G）の挨拶から口火が切られたライヴは、2年間の活動の成果を証明するような内容に。アコースティックセッションや、イントロで観客をどよめかせるレアな楽曲を盛り込んだ充実したステージとなった。

またライヴ本編では、6月24日にリリースされるニューシングル「まっすぐなうた」よりタイトル曲と、カップリング曲「いいこになっちゃいけないの」もプレイされた。この日が初披露となった「いいこになっちゃいけないの」は、メンバー曰く「サーフィンやらないのに、なんちゃってサーフィンをやった」というGSテイストのアダルトなロックチューン。これからツアーに足を運ぶ人は、この曲を通して4人の奏でる“大人な一面"を味わってみよう。そして新曲「まっすぐなうた」について光村は「今の俺らの剥き出しの歌が書けたと思います。真摯な思いをぶち込んだ曲」と述べ、タイトル通りストレートなロックチューンを豪快に鳴らした。

ライヴの最後に、「2年ぶりの全国ツアー行ってきます！」と観客に向かって大声で叫んだ4人。「いってらっしゃい！」というオーディエンスの声が響く中で、バンドにとって2年ぶりとなるツアーの初日は無事終幕した。

なお「NICO Touches the Walls TOUR 2015 “まっすぐなツアー"」は、7月19日（日）の東京・東京国際フォーラム ホールAまで、全国16会場17公演が予定されている。ツアー会場ではシングル「まっすぐなうた」を予約購入した人に先着で「まっすぐなピック（ツアー会場限定ver.）」をプレゼントする施策を実施中。ぜひ会場に足を運んでチェックしてほしい。
