奥田民生の「2015年ツアー秋コレ」がついにスタート

10月23日（金）、千葉県・市原市市民会館にて「奥田民生 2015年ツアー秋コレ」（全14本）がスタートした。

5月には地元広島で、ユニコーン『奥田民生50祭“もみじまんごじゅう"』2デイズ開催、春から夏にかけてはユニコーン→ABEDON with OT（fromユニコーン）などで各地のフェスやイベントに出演、それと並行して岸田繁・伊藤大地とのバンド＝サンフジンズでイベント出演・アルバムのリリース・8月〜9月でワンマンの全国ツアー、そして10月頭には病気療養のため夏は休養した川西幸一の復帰ライブになった、ユニコーン『EBI50祭“海老乃大漁祭"』パシフィコ横浜2デイズ。と、2015年前半を大車輪で働きまくった奥田民生。間髪入れず、ソロのツアーとしては約2年ぶりとなる奥田民生『2015年ツアー“秋コレ"』（全14本）が、10月23日（金）に千葉県・市原市市民会館からスタートした。

グッズでファッション誌風の豪華パンフレットが作られたり、メンバーがステージに登場する際にちょっとした仕掛けがあったり、“秋コレ"というテーマに即した演出が施されたこのツアー（ただし1回目のOTのMC曰く「最初だけそういう雰囲気を出してみました。あとは普通です」とのこと）。ステージには、おなじみMTR&Y（ボーカル＆ギター奥田民生、ドラム湊雅史、キーボード斎藤有太、ベース小原礼）の4人に加え、このツアーのキャラクターとして誕生したキャラクター「Matsuco」も参加。4人＋ひとりがステージに揃い、OTの「さあ、やろう」のひとことでライブがスタート。

「今日、初日ということで、間違って市川に行った人もいると思います。そういうスタッフも何人かいます。地元の人は信じられないかもしれないけど。今回（のツアー）、市原と市川とどっちもあるんだよね。どっちがどっちかわかりません！」などというMCで場を和ませつつ、ハード・エッジなロックンロール・チューンを連打していくOT。2年前のツアー『SPICE BOYS』は、『OT.Come Home』リリースのタイミングだったが、「あれは完全にひとりで作ったアルバムで、MTR&Yと録ったものではないので」という理由で、『OT.Come Home』収録曲は3曲のみ、あとはアルバムに縛られない自由かつレアな選曲でセットリストが組まれたものだった。ましてや、今回はソロ奥田民生としてはなんのリリースもないタイミングなので、さらに自由なメニューになっていて、フェス出演時などにはなかなか披露されることのないレアな曲も披露される。中盤から後半にかけても、ややロックンロール寄りのハードな曲が多い印象で、イントロが始まるたびに客席から歓声が上がる。OT本人も「もうあれだよね、アルバムなんて出さないでもツアーできるよね。だってもう曲いっぱいあるんだから」「自分の曲だからあたりまえなんですけど、楽勝ですわ」などと口にしつつ、楽しそうに、かつ高いテンションで曲をプレイしていく。

とはいえ、久しぶりのソロツアーの初日だけあって、「ソロも久々ということでね……このあと全部自分が歌わなきゃいけない……サンフジンズっていいなあ！」と叫んだり、途中で「これ、なんか、うまく進行してんのかね？ 話、長い？」とメンバーに問うたりする場面も。もうすぐ終わるのを惜しむ客席からの声に答えて「あと何曲残ってると思ってるんだよ。捨て曲なしだよ？ 少なめだよ、アルバムの中で大したことない曲が」と言って笑わせたり、「……でも俺の心の中では何曲かあるよ」とよけいなことも口にしたりしつつ、本編が終わる。さらにアンコールで2曲を追加、初日が終了した。

このツアーは11月21日の石川・本多の森ホールまで続く。そして11月28日にはMAZDA Zoom-Zoom スタジアム広島でのワンマン『奥田民生ひとり股旅スペシャル＠マツダスタジアム』が控えているのに加え、12月22日には東京国際フォーラム ホールAで、斎藤有太発案による、2015年のOTの活動をしめくくる『奥田民生 生誕50周年伝説“となりのベートーベン"』が開催されることが、この日新たに発表になった。草野マサムネや吉井和哉やトータス松本等の数多くの豪華ゲストや、以前の民生バンドのメンバーや、大編成のスペシャル・オーケストラも参加する2部構成のイベント。ひとりでのライブと大人数でのライブで2015年をしめくくる奥田民生……いや、違った。12月末にはサンフジンズで大阪の『RADIO CRAZY』と幕張の『COUNTDOWN JAPAN』への出演も発表されているのだった。50歳を迎えた年の瀬まで働きまくる奥田民生、今後も追っていきたい。
