布袋寅泰35周年プロジェクト、第2弾は『GUITARHYTHM』再現GIG！

2016年に35周年を迎えるアニバーサリープロジェクト「8 BEATのシルエット」を発表した布袋寅泰。その第2弾の詳細が明らかになった。

第1弾の「【BEAT 1】〜すべてはライブハウスから〜」は、収容人数約300と規模の小さなライヴハウスや老舗のライヴハウスを回るというもの。近年の布袋では想像もつかないツアー開催に、各地で驚きと期待の声が上がっている。バンド時代を通じてライヴハウスからファンの支持を広げてブレイクを果たし、今再び海外で同じスタンスで挑戦を行なっている布袋だからこそ、35周年のスタートがライヴハウスから始まることに、彼のキャリア、ファンへ真摯に向き合う姿勢を感じる。

そして、35周年プロジェクト第2弾は「〜GUITARHYTHM伝説 '88〜ソロデビュー再現GIGS」と題し、国立代々木競技場 第一体育館と大阪城ホールでのライヴが開催される。ソロデビューアルバム『GUITARHYTHM』をライヴで表現した、布袋のソロキャリアのマイルストーンでもある1988年の公演を、当時と同じ会場で再現と聞くだけで、そのインパクトは計り知れない。『GUITARHYTHM』自体、デジタルとパンクを融合し、音楽シーンへの挑戦的なアルバムであったため、当時はそのアルバムをタイトルとしたライヴが普通のライヴの枠に収まることはなく、前衛的な演出アプローチとギターパフォーマンスでオーディエンスを圧倒した。このライヴを今の布袋がどのような演出で体現するのか。期待は膨らむばかりだ。過去と現在が交差するステージを、そして未来を予見させるパフォーマンスを体感してみてほしい。

また、このタイミングで35周年を象徴するキービジュアルが発表された。布袋の8つのシルエットで構成された印象的なデザインで、2016年はこの8つのシルエットと8つのプロジェクトが35周年を盛り上げていくようだ。
