「この場所から輝き続けてるよ」。アイドロックを掲げるCANDY GO!GO!のメジャーデビューシングル『overdrive/大切なお知らせ』がオリコンのシングルチャートで8位を獲得!!

結成から6年、1月20日にテイチクエンタテイメント Imperial Recordsよりメジャーデビューシングル『overdrive/大切なお知らせ』を発売したCANDY GO!GO!。

同シングルが、オリコンのシングルチャートで第8位を獲得。幸先良いスタートを切ることができた。CANDY GO!GO!史上歴代最上位を記録したことから、結果を求め日々活動してきたメンバーらにも、その数字は大きな自信と励みになっている。

だが、彼女たちの挑戦はまだまだ続けている。

CANDY GO!GO!は現在、総売上枚数1万枚を目指し、引き続き『overdrive/大切なお知らせ』のキャンペーン活動を続けている。過去にも、2度、総売上枚数1万枚へ挑みながらも、いづれも8千枚を超えたところで予定期間を終了。その悔しさを身に沁みて感じているからこそ、今もプライベートを一切投げ捨て、彼女たちは目標を達成するために日々邁進し続けている。
その数字を求めるのも、大切な目的があってのこと。それが「『overdrive/大切なお知らせ』を1万枚売り切ることを条件に、フルアルバムの制作が控えている」からだ。

メンバーらにとってもフルアルバム制作は望み続けてきたこと。その夢をつかんでこそ、初めてメジャー進出を果たした意味が生まれてくる。その期限は、2月末日。すでに9千枚を突破しているように、その目標はけっして遠いことではない。
でも、気を抜いたら足元をすくわれることを知っている彼女たちだからこそ、今回のオリコンシングルチャート8位という結果を励みに、日々、ライブハウスという輝くための場に立ちながら、歌い踊り続けている。

現在も、連日のようにライブ/キャンペーン活動を続けているCANDY GO!GO!。いつもはオケを背景にステージングを行う彼女たちだが、2月14日にディファ有明で行われるイベント「GIRLS ROCK SPLASH!!2016 Valentine's Day」には、バンド編成での出演も決定している。
いつも熱いパワフルなステージングを通し「アイドロック」なスタイルを提示しているCANDY GO!GO!が、バンド演奏を背にすることで、さらに熱さと重量感を加味したライブを見せてくれるのは間違いない。

甘いポップなアイドルソングを歌い、5年半前にライブ活動をスタートさせたCANDY GO!GO!。幾度となく動員数名のライブも経験。これまでに、何回かのメンバーチェンジも繰り返してきた。そんな彼女たちが、自分たち独自のカラーを打ち出そうと掲げた「アイドロック」というスタイル。ロックを歌うのではない、ロックな姿勢を示したギラギラとしたエネルギッシュな生き方が、数多くの人たちの日々を歩むうえでの心の糧や励みとなり、彼女たちに共鳴した想いが、赤坂BLITZ単独公演の成功やメジャー進出という形に。そして今回の『overdrive/大切なお知らせ』オリコンシングルチャート第8位という成果へと繋がった。8人の熱意に共感を覚えている人たちが、今回の成果をきっかけにさらに増えだしている。まずは、彼女たちの夢を追いかける姿に触れて欲しい。きっと、心に熱い高ぶりを覚えるはずだ。それを感じたなら、一緒に熱狂の輪の中で輝き続けてくれ!!
