A9、春ツアー初日公演にて12周年記念ライブの開催を発表

A9のツアー『A9 TOUR 2016 「TRUTH IN LIGHT AND DARKNESS」 』が、4月16日（土）の品川ステラボールよりスタートした。

4月13日にリリースされた2nd EP『LIGHT AND DARKNESS』を携え始まったこのツアー。本ツアーは2部構成になることが当初より発信されており、それがどう表現されるか期待されていた。開演を待つステージ上はいつもと違う位置に機材が置かれていた。暗転の後Nao（Dr.）が登場しリズムを刻む。続いて沙我（Ba.）、ヒロト（Gt.）、虎（Gt.）と順に登場し、一音一音を重ねていくセッションが始まる。最後に将（Vo.）が登場し、歓声は一気に最高潮に達した。

第1部は全曲にそれぞれの曲に合わせて作成された映像が背面スクリーン全体に映し出されるという演出に。映像は虎が作成したものも含まれ、メンバー自身の手で最高のステージを作りたいという想いがここにも反映されている。さらに映像だけでなく、第1部で演奏された定番の曲たちもかなり大胆なアレンジが施かされておりオーディエンスを驚かせていた。第1部が終了すると一度幕が閉じられる。そして再び幕が開くと、楽器の位置が変わり、いつも通りのメンバー立ち位置で第2部がスタート。第2部はメンバーの公言通りかなり久々となる曲が演奏され、第1部でのコンセプトとは180度違う、変わらぬA9の姿で魅了する。
演出的にはまだまだ荒削りな部分もあったが、現状維持ではなく新しいことに挑戦しようとした彼ら。これから各地で更に内容を成長させ、ツアーラストではどのような景色を見せるか楽しみだ。

さらに終演後には次のライブ予定が映像にて発表された。沙我、将それぞれの誕生日ライブ開催で会場がわいた後、突然映像内でアルバムタイトルがどんどん過去へとさかのぼっていく。そこに唐突に「もしも時が戻るならば願いますか？」というメンバー、ファンにとってもとても思い入れが強い、ある楽曲の歌詞が。その流れから12周年のアニバーサリーライブとなる「A9 XII ANNIVERSARY LIVE “NO NAME"-名前は未だ無い-」が告知されるとフロアからは悲鳴にも近い声が上がった。

“2004-2005 only"というヒント以外、今は情報が無い。とはいえ初期からのファン、当時の彼らを知らないファン、そして今では離れてしまったファンにとっても嬉しいお知らせになった事は間違い無い。このタイトルに込められた意図は、ぜひ会場で確認してほしい。
