GOODWARP、アニメ『うどんの国の金色毛鞠』EDに初のバラード曲を提供

GOODWRAPが10月より日本テレビ、西日本放送ほかでオンエアされるアニメ『うどんの国の金色毛鞠』のED主題歌として、バンド初のバラード楽曲を提供することを発表した。また、この冬自主イベント『YOASOBI』を東阪2カ所に拡大して開催することが決定した。

篠丸のどか原作による同アニメは、“うどん県"で有名な香川を舞台にした作品。父親の死に際し生まれ故郷へ帰った主人公・俵 宗太が人間の子供の姿に化けたタヌキのポコと出会い、ポコや周囲の人たちとの生活を通じて成長していく姿を描くハートフルな内容となっている。主人公の俵 宗太役を声優の中村悠一が、ポコ役を古城門 志帆が演じる。OP主題歌をWEAVERが、そしてED主題歌をGOODWARPが担当する。アニメ1話の放送に先駆けて、東京・香川で先行上映会の開催も控えている。

原作を読んで書き下ろされたという本楽曲のタイトルやリリース情報など、詳細は後日アナウンスされる。

さらに、バンドがこれまでシンパシーを感じるアーティストとともにVol.6まで開催している自主イベント「YOASOBI」が、この冬東京・大阪の2カ所で開催されることも発表された。こちらの詳細も続報をお楽しみに！

「今年の春、バンドで初めて高松に遠征をしたとき、たまたま街中で踏切待ちをしていた僕らの目の前を横切ったのが「うどんの国の金色毛鞠」のペイントが施された電車でした。のどかな街並みを鮮やかに駆け抜けて行ったその電車に、機材車内にいたメンバー4人とも、目を奪われました。折しも、ちょうど今回のお話をいただいた直後の事だったので、「今の見た？！」「すげえ！」と子どものようにはしゃいで運命めいたものを感じました。あの時不思議と感じた街並みの懐かしさと空気は、原作の温かい世界観と共に、今回の楽曲が産まれるインスピレーションの源になりました。誰にだって、忘れられない過去や、追いかけていた夢、そして帰りたい場所がある。この物語を通じて、ふと心の一番奥に立ち返ってみたくなったとき、今回の楽曲も一緒に連れ出していただけたら光栄です」
