【宇宙人】一度ハマると抜け出せない新感覚バンド！

　中毒性のあるポップサウンドと突き抜けた歌詞世界が話題となっている宇宙人。開示されている情報が少なく、謎がなぞを呼ぶ宇宙人のしのさきあさこ（Vo）に接触成功！

──資料ではバンドの結成は2008年となっているのですが、結成した経緯を教えてください。

「知り合ったのは2008年なんですが、結成は2010年だったと思います。この空白の2年間は、4人でご飯の食べ歩きとか、鍋とかして遊んでたんですよ。」

──ちなみに音楽はしていたんですか？

「ちょこっとやってましたね。でも、メインはおいしいものを探すという…」

──なんだか、青春の１ページのようですね。

「あはは。そうです、青春してましたね（笑）」

──そんな内輪な活動にもかかわらず、2010年には『FUJI ROCK』に出演しているんですね。これは快挙ですよね？

「私たちも『FUJI ROCK』にはすごく行きたくて。」

──ですよね、音楽を志す人にとって憧れの舞台ですもんね！

「いや、ただ観に行きたくて…」

──え!?　そっち!?

「でも、高知から新潟までもすごい遠いし、宿からステージも本当に遠くて、結局、菊池成孔さんしか観ませんでした。」

──『FUJI ROCK』出演後は状況は変わりましたか？

「周りはざわざわしていたんですが、あまりにも私たちの情報開示が少なかったようで、記念すべき『FUJI ROCK』の次のライヴはお客さんゼロだったんですよ（笑）。なので、今回からはちゃんとやろうかなと思って、しっかりと曲を作りました。」

──今回から!?（笑）　確かに、今回は今までと違って、すごく楽曲に意味が込められている気がしたんですよ。

「気付いてもらえましたか!?　そうなんですよ～。今までは成すがままに曲を書いていたんですが、今回は“意味を匂わす”というテーマで曲を作ったんです。その中でも、『孔雀草』というのは不倫をテーマに描いたんですよ。」

──いきなりディープですね。実話なんですか？

「ちょっとした大人の会議に紛れ込んだ時に、不倫の話を聞いたんです。その不倫カップルはイタリア旅行に行ったとか、どうとか…（笑）。あまりにも衝撃を受けたので、ついつい曲にしちゃいました（笑）」

──多感な年頃のあさこさんとしては影響を受けた？

「それはないです（キッパリ）。絶対にお手本にしちゃいけないなって思いました、ほんとに！」

──その貞操観念はしっかりしているんですね（笑）。

「はい。あとは、善と悪や、切なさと儚さ、裏と表などの対極のものをテーマに曲を作りました。ちゃんと作ったからか、今までにない充実感があるんですよね。」

──制作中、楽しかったことはどんなことでしたか？

「いたずらですね。制作中はレコード会社のレッスン室に毎日通って作っていたんですが、そこから仲良しの社員さんに内線を何度もかけたり、ニセモノのゴキブリをいろんなところに隠して驚かせたり…楽曲制作4割、いたずら6割で楽しみました（笑）。今までにないくらい楽しい制作でしたね。いたずらは最高のクリエイティブです！」

──いやー、楽しそうでなによりです（笑）。私が楽しみなのは、レコ発のライヴなのですが…。

「あ、レコ発はしません！　もし、観たいという人がたくさん現れたら、その時は全力でライヴをしようと思っているので、よろしくお願いします！」
