布袋寅泰、『サンレモ音楽祭』でイタリアを熱狂させるパフォーマンス！

布袋寅泰が『サンレモ音楽祭 2017』で披露したパフォーマンスがイタリアで話題を呼んでいる。

布袋の出演は、同音楽祭最終夜の特別ゲスト・ズッケロが布袋を伴ってのステージを強く希望して実現したもの。布袋のパフォーマンスを会場で体験したイタリアの音楽関係者からは“高水準で華麗”“刺激的なギタリスト”など評価の声が上がり、テレビ視聴者からは“布袋をフィーチャーしたパフォーマンスがもっと見たい”といった声が届いているという。

『サンレモ音楽祭』は毎年開催されるイタリアの国民的な音楽の祭典で、今回が第67回を数える。イタリア全土へテレビ放送され、ズッケロが出演した最終夜の視聴率は70%に達した。

布袋はクリス・ステイントン（ジョー・コッカー、エリック・クラプトン）、クイーン・コーラ・ダンハム（プリンス、ビヨンセ）といった世界的ミュージシャンと共に、“ズッケロ＋ゲストギタリスト布袋寅泰”という破格の扱いでステージに登場！ 1曲目はズッケロの最新アルバムから布袋のギターソロをフィーチャーする特別アレンジでの「Partigiano Reggiano」を演奏し、序盤から華麗なパフォーマンスを展開。布袋のギターを中心としたバンドサウンドの躍動感が、会場を一気にヒートアップさせた。演奏後、布袋は“ザ・ローリング・ストーンズやデヴィッド・ボウイとも共演を果たした日本を代表するギタリスト”と紹介されている。

続く2曲目では、会場のバックスクリーンに世界的オペラ歌手、故ルチアーノ・パヴァロッティの姿が映し出され、パヴァロッティと親交が深かったズッケロが映像とのバーチャルデュエットで「Miserere」を披露。『サンレモ音楽祭』開催期間中のハイライトとなったこの場面で、布袋は情感溢れるギターを聴かせた。ズッケロ＆パヴァロッティというイタリアの二大ヒーローと共演を果たした布袋にも大きな拍手と歓声が贈られ、イタリアの音楽関係者、音楽ファンに“ギタリスト・HOTEI”の存在を強烈にアピールする結果となった。

なお、ズッケロはこのイベント出演後、日本で初単独ライヴを5月29日（月）に東京・渋谷TSUTAYA O-EASTで開催すると発表。ヨーロッパでは数万人クラスの会場を軒並みソールドアウトする人気と実力を兼ね備えたスーパースターのパフォーマンスをクラブ規模で体験できる貴重なライヴとなりそうだ。

一方、布袋は4月11日（火）ドイツ・フランクフルトZOOMでのライヴを皮切りに、ドイツ、オランダ、スイス、ベルギー4ヶ国で8公演を行なうヨーロッパ・ツアーを予定している。布袋寅泰の止まらない活躍に注目しよう。
