シド、シングル＆待望のアルバムリリースを発表！ 全国ホールツアー開催も！

シドが5月12日（金）＆13日（土）の2日間に渡って日本武道館2days公演『夜更けと雨と』『夜明けと君と』を開催。1年7か月ぶりとなるワンマン公演は両日ともに即日ソールドアウトの中行なわれ、2日間で17,000人を動員し、大盛況で終幕した。

ライブでは代表曲「嘘」や「妄想日記」、「V.I.P」などを熱唱。さらには、5月10日（水）にリリースされたばかりのシングル「バタフライエフェクト」を初披露した。2日間を通し、“夜更け"から“夜明け"へと、徐々に光へ向かっていくまるで物語のような演出は、コンセプトライブならでは。日本武道館に集まった17,000人が歓喜に包まれた。

そして、13日（土） のライブ終演後には、シドの次なる動きがいくつも発表された。まず発表されたのは、ニューシングルのリリースが決定したという情報だ。ニューシングルのタイトルは「螺旋のユメ」。「バタフライエフェクト」をリリースしたばかりの彼らだが、間髪入れることなく、2017年8月2日（水）にリリースされる「螺旋のユメ」は、2017年7月より放送開始のテレビアニメ『将国のアルタイル』のオープニングテーマに決定したことも同時に発表された。

さらに、2017年9月にはニューアルバムのリリースも発表。オリジナルアルバムのリリースは実に3年6カ月ぶり。まさに待望のニューアルバムとなる。そして、そのニューアルバムを引っ提げた全国ホールツアーの開催も発表され、次々と発表される情報に、会場からは悲鳴のような歓声があがった。

ニューシングル、ニューアルバム、そして全国ホールツアーと、昨年とは打って変わってバンドとしての活動を激化させるシド。2017年、いよいよその活動から目が離せない。
