WANIMA、5,000人限定のプレミアムワンマンライブ開催

WANIMAが6月3日にお台場・潮風公園 太陽の広場にて、ワンマンライブ『uP!!!NEXT WANIMA ～Gotta Go!! Release Party～』を開催した。

このライヴはエンタメサイト「uP!!!」主催のショーケースイベント『uP!!!NEXT』とのコラボレーションによって実現したフリーライヴであり、5月に発表されたシングル「Gotta Go!!」のリリース記念ライヴの初日にして最終日。20倍を超える抽選を突破した約5,000人が詰めかけたこともあって、開場前から周辺に溢れるファンたち。加えて、会場でのCD購入者、もしくは中学生以下の来場者にはWANIMA特製パッケージが施されたポップコーンが配布される等、野外というシチュエーションも相まって、まさにお祭りの様相。メンバーもバックヤードでは真摯にライヴへ向かう用意をしつつ、スタッフとはしゃぐ場面もあり、リラックスして思いっきり楽しむ準備を整えていた。

待ちに待った開演を迎えると、初っ端からオーディエンスの興奮は止まらない。大歓声と共に波打つ地面。KENTA（Vo./Ba.）の開会宣言から「ここから」が飛び出すと、客席からはとんでもない大合唱が巻き起こる。そのエネルギーをしっかり受け止め、まっすぐに凛々しい立ち姿のメンバーも頼もしい。「夏の面影」、「Hey Lady」と続いて披露した新曲「ララバイ」も見事な光景を描いていく。KENTAから矢継ぎ早に繰り出される言葉ひとつひとつが心に響き、その世界観へグイグイと引っ張られてしまう。少しずつ陽が傾き、潮風に吹かれても、決して下がるどころか上がりっぱなしの熱気。「1CHANCE」や「BIG UP」等でさらに加速した後は、色気たっぷりに妖艶な「オドルヨル」や「いいから」をプレイ。様々なチャンネルで魅了していくのが彼らの強みだ。

そして、この日のハイライトとして語るべきは、“この歌はお守りに”してほしいという願いがこめられた新曲「CHARM」。両手を高く掲げ、その歌を口ずさむ約5,000人のオーディエンス。どんなときも抱きしめたくなる温もりがあり、自然とその大きな愛情が会場全体を包み込んでいく様子は秀逸だった。その後も攻め手は緩めず、溢れる想いをすべからく音に乗せた「1106」、「これからもみんなが大丈夫じゃないときに大丈夫になるよう、歌っていきたい」と力強くKENTAが語ってからの「ともに」で大団円かと思いきや、FUJI（Dr./Cho.）の「まだやりたい！」という懇願でKO-SHIN（G./Cho.）の絶叫混じりのタイトルコールも飛び出した「THANX」と新曲「これだけは」を追加。嬉しいサプライズにオーディエンスは狂喜乱舞し、客席は最高潮の盛り上がり。その反応の良さに思わず笑みがこぼれるメンバー。会場の隅々まで多幸感に満たされ、まるで映画のエンドロールを観ているようでもあった。「CHARM」に加えて、この日が共に2回目のパフォーマンスとなった「ララバイ」・「これだけは」の2曲と、リリースパーティらしく3rdシングル「Gotta Go!!」全収録曲をパフォーマンスし、万雷の拍手を浴びながらステージを去ったメンバーではあったが、リクエストに応える形で「HOME」と「エル」、ラストはひたすらに前を向ける「やってみよう」をアンコールとしてドロップ。ゴキゲンで心弾むバイブスを放ち続けるWANIMAの面目躍如といったところだろう。

3月に開催したさいたまスーパーアリーナでのワンマンでKENTAが「これからも僕たちを信じてついてきてください！」と高らかに宣言したが、その言葉に違わぬ素晴らしきパフォーマンス。だが、まだまだ食い足りないと言わんばかりに「SPACE SHOWER SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2017」や「氣志團万博 2017」といったフェスにも出演が決定しているWANIMA。誰しもが背中をグッと押させるムードを広めてくれるに違いない。

また、6月28日にはさいたまスーパーアリーナでの初ワンマンライヴの模様とツアーのドキュメンタリー映像が収録された1st DVD＆Blu-ray『JUICE UP!! TOUR FINAL』をリリース。エネルギーが濃密に絡み合ったライヴはもちろんのこと、趣向を凝らしたニヤリとさせられる演出や想いをまっすぐに語った言葉も噛み締められる内容となっており、そちらも注目していただきたい。
