8月も終わりが見えてきましたが、季節は夏真っ只中。全国では毎週末のように夏フェスが開催され、暑い夏をさらに熱くさせていますが。夏フェスで重要な役割を果たしているのが、いわば“賑やかし担当”のおもしろバンドの存在。初めて観る観客も巻き込んで、たくさんの笑顔を生み、フェスを大いに盛り上げてくれる、おもしろバンドたち。そんなフェスの効果もあって、昨今、若手おもしろバンドたちが次々と頭角を表している。額に汗して笑いを取りにいく彼らのステージや、熱気と笑いに溢れた客席を観ると、「面白いはカッコ良い！」と言わずにいられない！　8月１日には「どのバンドが一番おもろいか、決めたらええねん！」と日本一のおもしろバンドを決めるべく、今回紹介するバンドらが集い開催された『♀フェス』も大成功。今、確実にキテる感のあるおもしろバンドに注目し、日本屈指のおもしろバンドを紹介したい。

■1.「ちん毛02」（’14）／巨乳まんだら王国

「夏フェスに行くと、“ちん毛ボーボー”のTシャツを着たヤツが、１人か２人いがち」というのは、僕の唱える“フェスあるある”だが。このTシャツを広めた主犯者が巨乳まんだら王国。99年８月10日、教祖・イコマノリユキを中心に正式活動を開始し、ヘヴィロック、エレクトロ、ポップパンクなど幅広い音楽要素を含む楽曲と、徹底したアホでエロな下ネタで人気を集めている。会場中が国旗を振り、国歌斉唱で始まる彼らのステージは、王国幹部を中心とした、ライヴごとに異なる大人数のメンバーがステージ狭しと暴れ周り、イカレたパーティー感満載！　ちん毛Tシャツの元ネタである「ちん毛02」は、部屋のあらゆる場所に落ちてるちん毛を歌った曲ながら、トラックのカッコ良さがバカバカしさを倍増。現在、活動休止中ながら、緊急招集というかたちでフェス等の出演アリ。キミもライヴに足を運んで、王国民になろう！


■2.「俺のブーメラン」（’11）／花団

99年結成。“前座の神様”の異名を持つ、ヴォーカル・カズ率いられる4人組コミックバンド。13年に解散したものの、バンド仲間から解散を惜しむ声が多く上がり、解散後もイベント等にしれっと出演し続け、15年に活動を再開。解散を宣言したのに辞めさせてもらえなかったこのエピソードからも分かるように、とにかくファンや周りのバンド仲間から愛されている。みんなを楽しませることを最重視した楽曲や演出、巧みな話術で決して観客を飽きさせないサービス精神旺盛なステージを観るだけで、愛される理由が分かるはず。また、キャッチーで分かりやすい楽曲も彼らの魅力で、ブーメランパンツを歌った「俺のブーメラン」も♪ブーメランブーメランと繰り返し、手を回す西城秀樹を彷彿とする振り付けに、初めて観た人も声を合わせて踊り出す！　ちなみにMVには、本物の西城秀樹が登場。ブーメランの大先輩と夢の共演を果たした。


■3.「あつまれパーティーピーポー」（’15）／ヤバイTシャツ屋さん

12年結成、14年本格始動。こやまたくや（Vo&Gt）、しばたありぼぼ（Vo&Ba）、もりもりもと（Dr）の男女混合による3人組ロックバンド。インディーズ時代から多数のロックフェスに出演し、16年に「We love Tank-top」でメジャーデビューした。今時の若者や大学生のなんてことない日常を独自のセンスで描く歌詞や、「あつまれ！パーティーピーポー」のようなノリ一発、初めて聴いても一緒に盛り上がれる曲調がキッズにウケたんだろうなと勝手に予測するが。男女ツインヴォーカルの掛け合いの気持ち良さや、曲のフレーズや構成、歌詞やMCから感じるセンスの良さ、徹底した悪ふざけぶりは大人が聴いてもその面白さが分かるはず。ちなみにこの曲、楽曲の一部がLMFAOの「Shots」のオマージュになっていて、メジャー盤リリース時に本人に承諾を得たというエピソードもある。


■4.「糖質改善ダイエットやってみた」（’17）／打首獄門同好会

04年結成、男性ギターヴォーカルと女性リズム隊という男女混合による、3人組ロックバンド。メタルをベースとしたヘヴィなサウンドに、極悪なバンド名とは裏腹な生活感ある歌詞を乗せた、“生活密着型ラウドロック”と呼ばれる彼らの楽曲。「私を二郎に連れてって」「ヤキトリズム」「日本の米は世界一」…と生活を語る上で欠かせない“メシ”についての曲が多いのも特徴だが、メシ曲を歌い続けてリリースされた最新曲は、なんとダイエット曲！　それも糖質改善ダイエットで痩せたら良いなという曲じゃなくて、大澤（Vo&Gt）が自らダイエットを実践して、成功した経験を活かして歌詞にしたというから、面白いし説得力がある。来年3月には初の日本武道館ワンマンも決定している彼ら。ダイエットは成功するし、バンド活動は順調だし、絶好調じゃん！


■5.「オモローネバーノウズ」（’13）／四星球

01年結成。“日本一泣けるコミックバンド”を自称し、彼らの正装である白いブリーフにはっぴ姿でふざけまくるステージが人気を集め、17年にはアルバム『メジャーデビューというボケ』でメジャーデビュー。今年も全国各地の夏フェスに引っ張りだこの人気者となった。当然ながら人生、おもろいことばかりじゃないけど、それでも「まだおもろいことが待ってるはずだろう」と信じて、おもしろ道を貫く彼らの姿勢や信念を歌ったこの曲は、“日本一の泣けるコミックバンド”を名乗るに相応しい、燃えて笑えて泣ける名曲。そう、面白いと泣けるは紙一重なんです！　ちなみに日本一のおもしろバンドを決めるイベント『♀フェス』では、会場投票によって四星球が優勝。“日本一おもしろいバンド”の称号を手に入れた四星球は、まだ見ぬおもしろバンドの登場や挑戦を待っている！　はず。
