LOVE PSYCHEDELICO、ライヴにレニー・カストロが飛び入り参加！さらにBillboard Liveでの公演を発表

4年ぶりの新作アルバム『LOVE YOUR LOVE』を携え、全国ツアー真っただなかのLOVE PSYCHEDELICO。9月24日にZepp NANBAにて行なった大阪公演で、9月16日にTOTOのワールドツアーを終えたばかりの世界的パーカッション奏者、レニー・カストロが来日し飛び入り参加！　さらに、12月7日、10日には自身初のBillboard Liveでの公演『LOVE PSYCHEDELICO Billboard Live OSAKA／TOKYO』の開催が発表された。

レニー・カストロは、TOTOの他、ボズ・スキャッグス、スティーヴィー・ワンダーからローリング・ストーンズ、オアシス、レッド・ホット・チリペッパーズ、アデルまで、長きに渡り音楽史に残る数々の世界的な名作やライヴに参加し、現在も第一線で活躍。LOVE PSYCHEDELICOとの出会いは遡ること2008年、彼らがロサンゼルスに滞在し、現地ミュージシャンとセッションに明け暮れていた時のことだったという。2010年にリリースしたLOVE PSYCHEDELICOのアルバム『ABBOT KINNEY』以降、アルバムに参加するようになったレニー・カストロは、2013年に全国ツアーや翌年のアコースティックライヴにも参加。公私に渡る密な親交は、最新作の『LOVE YOUR LOVE』において、新機軸となる血が沸き立つラテンロックナンバー「Might Fall In Love」をもたらした。そんなLOVE PSYCHEDELICOとレニー・カストロが生み出すマジックはライヴにおいて、数々の名曲に流れるグルーヴを際立たせ、別の生き物のように躍動させる。その躍動感はKUMIのヴォーカルとNAOKIのギターを通じて、音楽の真の喜びをオーディエンスに伝えてくれるはずであり、レニーが参加する年内のライヴ・イベントをぜひ体感してほしい。

また、LOVE PSYCHEDELICが初めてステージに立つBillboard Liveでのライヴは、その完成度の高さから好評を博した2014年のパフォーマンスの再来となるアコースティック編成とのこと。『LOVE YOUR LOVE』初回盤に封入されたアコースティックデモ盤にも収録されている彼らの音楽の核心部分に心を震わせることは間違いないだろう。
