シド、“SID TOUR 2017 「NOMAD」” 東京国際フォーラム(ホールA)公演終了！

現在、全国ホールツアー“SID TOUR 2017 「NOMAD」”で各地SOLD OUT続出中のシドが、10月27日に東京国際フォーラム ホールAで公演を行った。
このツアーは約3年半ぶりにリリースしたオリジナルアルバム『NOMAD』を帯同したもので、この日のステージは全16本中8本目のちょうど折り返し地点。
『NOMAD』という新しい楽曲郡を携えたシドの進化の過程を感じさせる、瑞々しいステージが展開された。

大歓声の中、まっ白な衣装に身を包んだメンバーがステージに登場。
沸き上がるフロアの熱に応えるようにマオ(vo)が、続いて明希(B)とShinji(G)が高く右手拳を突き上げたところでライブがスタート。
ステージは「硝子の瞳」や「バタフライエフェクト」「螺旋のユメ」のシングル曲をはじめとする『NOMAD』の楽曲を中心に、「嘘」や「ANNIVERSARY」などの新旧織り交ぜた内容で、オーディエンスの多幸感を引き上げていった。
ツアーも中盤戦とあって、『NOMAD』に収録された新曲でのメンバーとオーディエンスの呼吸もぴったりで、凛としたマオの歌声が響いた「NOMAD」では、ゆうや(D)が打ち鳴らすリズムに合わせて手拍子が沸き、Shinjiのソリッドなギターイントロが炸裂した「XYZ」では会場が一体となって拳を振り上げる。
大合唱が起こった楽曲では、全員の声を笑顔で受け止めるメンバーの姿があった。
誰も置いていかない、一人残らず絶頂へと連れていく度量の大きさを、彼らのステージから感じ取れた。さらに特筆すべきは多彩な『NOMAD』の楽曲でみせるメンバーのプレイの秀逸なこと。
もともとシドはテクニカルなバンドとしても定評があるが、ジャジーな「KILLTIME」では、ゆうや、明希、Shinjiそれぞれをフィーチャーするソロパートを色気のあるプレイで魅せ、3人のアンビエントなセッションから始まった「低温」は、重厚でありながら躍動感もあり、新しいシドを感じさせられた。そして、それぞれの曲に乗るマオのヴォーカルは、とても表情豊かで雄弁だった。終始、温かい空気に包まれていた本編。
「東京！めっちゃ気持ちいいなあ。ありがとうございました！」と感謝の気持ちを伝えると、メンバーは笑顔でステージをあとにした。

アンコールは「懐かしい気持ちで歌ってました」と、インディーズ1stアルバム収録の「青」からスタート。
会場に広がる笑顔を見つめながら、マオは「大きい声で俺たちに愛を届けてくれて、本当に嬉しいです。普段からみんなのことを4人ともいつも思ってます。ここからシドは15周年。生きる意味を一緒に探して、ファンのみんなと一緒に歩いていこうと思います」と語り、「最後はこの大切な歌をみんなに届けて終わりたいと思います」と、「普通の奇跡」を歌い上げた。

2018年は結成15周年、メジャーデビュー10周年という節目の年を迎えるシド。
さらなる飛躍を胸に誓い、11月25日(土)のツアーファイナルまで、全国を駆け抜ける。
