菊地英昭率いるbrainchild's、メジャー第1弾アルバム発売＆全国ツアー2018開催決定

THE YELLOW MONKEYのギタリスト・EMMAこと菊地英昭がプロデュースし、自身もメンバーとして活動するプロジェクト『brainchild's』が、2018年4月にソニー・ミュージックレーベルズ アリオラジャパンより、メジャー第1弾となるフルオリジナルアルバムをリリースすることがわかった。

brainchild'sは“様々なアーティストとコラボレーションし、頭脳から生まれる産物と創造的なアイデア、そしてイメージやカラーなどを音楽で表現する120％自由な菊地英昭的・解放プロジェクト”とのコンセプト通り、これまでメンバーチェンジを繰り返しながら、現在7期のメンバーのギター＆ボーカル：菊地英昭（THE YELLOW MONKEY）、ボーカル＆ギター：渡會将士（FoZZtone）、ベース：神田雄一朗（鶴）、ドラム：岩中英明（Jake stone garage / BARBARS）による活動を展開中。現メンバーでは、これまで2枚のミニアルバムを発表しているが、フルアルバムの発表は今作が初となる。

メジャー第1弾となるフルアルバムリリースのアナウンスがされた12月3日は、2008年12月3日に1stシングル「BUSTER」を発表した記念すべき日であり、長年のファンにとっても10周年イヤー突入と同時に訪れた、嬉しいサプライズとなった。2017年9月に開催された1期からの歴代メンバーも多数集結したファンイベントは熱狂的な盛り上がりを見せるなど、プロジェクト10周年に向けて、ますます勢いを増すbrainchild'sの爆発せんばかりのエネルギーがパッケージされた最新音源を携えての全国ツアーは、日本中のEMMAファン、そしてbrainchild'sファンを熱狂の渦に巻き込むに違いない。

待望のニューアルバムに関し、現在、タイトルや収録楽曲など詳細はまだ発表されていないが、2018年の春を心待ちにして欲しい。
