Brian the Sun、高校生ヤクザの料理ドラマ『紺田照の合法レシピ』 OP担当

Brian the Sunの新曲「boys」が今春Amazonプライムビデオにて独占配信されるドラマ『紺田照の合法レシピ』のオープニングテーマに決定した。

『少年マガジンR』にて連載中の原作は、累計30万部発行を突破した人気作。暴力団“霜降肉組”の新人組員にして料理を愛する高校生・紺田照が主人公で、縛られている男の縄からパスタを連想して作ったペペロンチーノ等、ヤクザライフにインスピレーションを得て生まれた絶品グルメが描かれている。そして、ドラマは主演に竜星涼、ヒロイン役に山本舞香を迎え、ドラマ『孤独のグルメ』『ホクサイと飯さえあれば』、映画『ちょっとまて野球部！』を手がけた宝来忠昭が監督を務める。

新曲「boys」はドラマのために書き下ろされた楽曲で、1月10日発売のメジャー2ndアルバム『the Sun』に収録される。 作詞・作曲を担当した森良太（Vo＆Gt）は、 「究極の味を求める紺田照の生き様は、ロックバンドが持ち続けるべき無邪気な衝動を体現しているようです。彼の無表情の奥にある食への熱。とても羨ましく感じました。最強で最高の合法の調味料は情熱なのかもしれないですね。僕らの音楽もスパイスとして、この作品に関わることができて光栄です」と喜びのコメントを寄せた。

また、主演の竜星涼も「この作品の内に秘めた情熱と溢れ出るパワーをロックで爽快に、そして時よりせつなく、紺田照という1人の人間の人生を歌ったかのようなオープニングテーマを提供して頂きました。かっこいいオープニングと一緒に何度も見て聴いて最初からワクワクして下さい!!」と自信を覗かせている。

昨年、結成10周年を迎えたBrian the Sun。今年11年目を踏み出す作品としてリリースされる2ndアルバムを引っ提げて全国ツアーは、2月22日千葉Lookを皮切りに5月27日に地元・大阪のなんばHatchでのファイナルまで、全20公演が予定されている。
