大阪の３ピースバンド『ユビキタス』が4月9日、10日に行われる大阪でのライブをもって活動休止することを発表

ユビキタスが、4月9日、10日に大阪LIVE SQUARE 2nd LINEにて行われる2DAYSのワンマンライブをもって、活動休止することを発表した。
2012年10月に大阪でヤスキ、ニケ、HIROKIで結成されたユビキタスは、大阪でのライブ活動と並行して、SNSでの口コミによって早くから関東圏でのファンも獲得。大阪と東京での両軸での活動を中心に全国でのライブ展開を続けてきた。
『リアクタンスの法則』で2014年１月全国流通デビューし、その後、4枚のミニアルバム、2枚のシングル、1枚のフルアルバムとコンスタントにリリースを重ねたが、2017年5月にDr.のHIROKIが病気の為、脱退を表明。
それ以降は二人で活動を続けていた。少しずつ体調を戻しつつあったHIROKIが、昨年末頃よりサポートで参加するようになり、ファンの間では3人での活動再開もささやかれていた。しかし、メンバーが3人での活動再開を話す中で、それぞれの気持ちやスピードが、ずれてきていることを感じ、活動の休止を決断したようだ。

＜メンバーコメント＞
・この度ユビキタスは4月のワンマンライブを機に活動休止します。突然の事でごめんなさい。
3人の目標や気持ちが活動の面で同じ速度になれてないと思い一度休憩しようという事になりました。終わる訳じゃないです。「いつでもそこに在る音楽」ユビキタスとしてここまで走ってこれた事、ファンの皆様、音楽関係者の方々には本当に感謝してます。
ワンマン以降はメンバーそれぞれ自分の今までを見つめ直す時間にできればなと思ってます。

・5年かー、めっちゃ早いわ！仲良し3人が初めてスタジオで音だした日懐かしいわー。
すごくすごく充実してました。全国ボロボロの車でライブしまくって、たくさん曲を作って。
みんながいてくれたから活動してこれました。
しんどい事も楽しかった事も全部ひっくるめてユビキタスとして活動できて幸せでした！
、、、なんか解散みたいな書き方は嫌やな（笑）。
続けていく事の大事さ、バンドをすることの大変さをすごく考えさせられる時間がありました。
このまま続けていく事になんか自分の中での葛藤がありました。
ユビキタスは活動を一回休みます。また集まるかは全くわからん。半年後かも何年かも。
ただ言えるんはこの3人でユビキタスやから、またアホみたいにワイワイ会って音だして、最初の頃みたいに戻ってくる日が来たらいいなと思ってます。
活動してて出会えた人、バンド仲間、家族、んで、大好きなメンバー2人、ホンマにありがとう！
4月のワンマンまでよろしくお願いします！

・体調崩してしまった一年間がありましたが、こうして3人でワンマンライブが出来る事が幸せに思えます。今までユビキタスに関わってくれた皆様、応援してくださった皆様。本当にありがとうございます。10日をもちまして活動休止となりますが、いつかまた3人で戻ってこれることを僕も楽しみにしています。
