脳性麻痺のバイオリニスト・式町水晶がメジャーデビューアルバム発売記念コンサート。未発表の新曲も披露

脳性麻痺の障害と闘いながら音楽で多くの人たちに勇気と感動と笑顔を届けている男性バイオリニスト・式町水晶（しきまち・みずき、21）が、４月11日にキングレコードからメジャーデビューアルバム「孤独の戦士」を発売したのを記念して14日、東京・虎ノ門のニッショーホールでコンサートを開いた。
　同アルバムは、メロウ・ポップな作品からフィドル風の軽やかで陽気な曲まで、自ら作曲した人気のオリジナル曲を中心に全11曲（ボーナストラック含む）収録。発売前から大きな話題となり、好セールス中だ。
７４２席の会場は満席の中、「メジャーデビューアルバム発売コンサートをこうして開催できましたこと、皆さまのお陰です。本当にありがとうございます。今日のバンドは実力ともに最強のメンバーの方々ばかりで、僕の記念すべきメジャーデビューコンサートで一緒に演奏させていただいて改めてお礼を言わせてください。実はこのＣＤは、このメンバーでレコーディングさせていただきました。僕自身もＣＤの思い出にちょっと浸りたいなと思っています」とあいさつ。
　共演のピアニスト・Ｋｅｉｋｏは「メジャーデビュー、おめでとうございます。遂に、ですね。長年の夢がかないましたね。私が水晶くんに会ったのは３、４年ぐらい前ですが、そのときからぐんぐん上達してきて、レコーディングのときはバリバリ弾いていて、バンドメンバーとして楽しく演奏させていただきました」と絶賛。
同アルバムから12歳のとき、医療刑務所の慰問演奏のために作曲した「孤独の戦士」をはじめ、自作曲の「マインズ・モーション」「オリビア・ルイーズ」「メモリー・オブ・モーメント」「ロコマイカイ」、超難易度の名曲「リベルタンゴ」、それに未発表の新曲「Ｍｅｉｏｈ」（初披露）など全14曲を演奏。
また、東日本大震災で発生した津波による流木から作られ、その後も復興支援のための演奏会などで使い続けている「ＴＳＵＮＡＭＩヴァイオリン」で「浜辺の歌」や「花は咲く」を披露するなど、得意の楽しいトークを交えながら最後まで客席を魅了した。
　３歳のとき、脳性麻痺（小脳低形成）と診断され、リハビリの一環として４歳からバイオリンを習い始める。５歳のとき、網膜変性症、眼球運動失調、視神経乳頭陥凹拡大（緑内障）が見つかり、８歳のときに世界的バイオリニスト・中澤きみ子氏に師事、プロを目指す。10歳からポップスバイオリンを始め、幅広いフィールドで活躍中のバイオリニスト・中西俊博氏に師事。中学生まで車椅子生活を送ってきたが、筋力トレーニングなどに励み、高校生のときには車椅子なしでの生活を送れるようになり、現在も障害と闘いながらトレーニングを続け、コンサート活動と楽曲制作に取り組んでいる。
　今年１月16日放送のＮＨＫテレビ「ブレイクスルー」に出演後、約６００件もの反響が寄せられ、人々に笑顔と感動を届ける奇跡のポップ・バイオリニストとして紹介。今回のメジャーデビューとなったもの。（了）
