『LUNATIC FEST. 2018』第五弾アーティストとしてGLAY、back number、大黒摩季が出演決定

LUNA SEAが主宰する最狂のロックフェス『LUNATIC FEST. 2018』に出演する第五弾アーティストとして、GLAY、back number、大黒摩季の3組がアナウンスされた。

90年代の音楽シーンを共に歩んできた同志として大切な存在であるGLAYが、前回開催に続き連続で登場。GLAYとLUNA SEAは1999年12月23日に『The Millennium Eve』と題して東京ドームで行なわれた対バンライヴで初共演し、その後もメンバー同士の深い交流もあり、今回もルナフェスに欠かすことが出来ないバンドのひとつとしてラインナップされた。前回も圧巻のパフォーマンスを披露したGLAYだが、今回はギターのHISASHI率いるACE OF SPADESも同日に出演が決まっていることから、ファンにとっても見どころ満載の1日となりそうだ。

back numberは一見何の接点もない組み合わせに見えるが、ベーシストの小島和也がLUNA SEAのJに影響を受けてベースを始めたことを明言している。そんなback numberに対してLUNA SEAがオファーを立てたのだ。これまで自らが経験したライヴとは明らかに違う空間であろうことを想像しながらも、堂々とそのオファーを受け止めたback number。表現する音楽性は違えども、その根底に流れるエッセンスやアティテュードは、必ずやルナフェスに集まったオーディエンスを魅了してくれるはず。

大黒摩季はご存知90年代音楽シーンに欠かすことは出来ない歌姫のひとり。LUNA SEA終幕後、彼女のドラマーとして今なおリズムを刻み続けているのは真矢であり、純粋にミュージシャンとして尊敬し合う同世代の仲間でもある。直近ではLUNA SEAの最新アルバム『LUV』にコーラスとして3曲参加するなど、まさに絶好なタイミングでのオファーとなった。往年の名曲たちがルナフェスのフロアに響けば、その歌声の迫力に重なってオーディエンスの大合唱が巻き起こること必至だ！

各時代とシーンをリードしてきたアーティスト達が、ジャンルの壁を打ち壊し共鳴する。そんな圧巻のパフォーマンスを目に焼き付ける2日間となりそうだ。これで23日（DAY 1）のラインナップ全11組が出揃ったが、残るは24日（DAY 2）の最終ラインナップのみ。発表は近日中に公開されるとのことなので、続報を心して待とう。
