RADWIMPS、新曲「カタルシスト」がフジテレビ系サッカーテーマ曲に決定

6月6日（水）に発売されるRADWIMPSのニューシングル「カタルシスト」が、2018フジテレビ系サッカー テーマ曲に決定した。6月に開幕を控えている『FIFAワールドカップロシア大会』のフジテレビ系の関連番組で、RADWIMPSの楽曲が使用されることになる。テーマ曲決定にあたり、RADWIMPS野田洋次郎、そしてフジテレビ系サッカー中継チーフプロデューサー岸原氏もコメントを寄せている。

そして最新のバンドビジュアルと、通常盤のジャケットビジュアル、さらにトレーラー映像も同時公開に。美しく煌めく透明な滴が意味するものは、汗なのか雨なのか、それとも涙なのか。勝敗を競うためだけでなく、生きる喜びや他者との共鳴、夢、祈り、すべてを包みこむ「スポーツ」というテーマを表現したRADWIMPSの新曲にぜひ注目してほしい。

RADWIMPSは6月にライブツアーの開催を発表。初上陸となる三重県での公演からスタートし、1ヶ月間という短期間の中でアリーナ会場6箇所11公演をめぐる濃密なツアーを予定している。ニューシングル、ライブスケジュールの詳細はオフィシャルHPへ。

「この度、フジテレビ系サッカー中継のテーマソングを作らせて頂きました。最初にお話を頂いた時、そういえば『スポーツ』というテーマで曲を作ったことがなかったなと漠然と思い、イメージを膨らませていきました。学生時代ずっと音楽と部活をがむしゃらにやっていたものとして、スポーツの感動に日々刺激を受けるものとして絶対この曲を形にしたいと思い、是非やらせてくださいとお受けしました。あらゆる境界線をとり払い人々を一つに繋いでくれるサッカーという競技と、この曲が一緒に皆さんのもとに届いたら幸せに思います。そして大会でどんな歴史的瞬間が生まれるのか、今から楽しみでなりません」
