「君の存在を肯定しよう」、UNDER FALL JUSTICEがシングル「肯定」を通してメッセージしたのは…。

世の中の規制に準ずる形で、3月下旬までライブ活動を止めてきたUNDER FALL JUSTICEだったが、振替公演となったライブも含め、3月27日に未完成アリスが岐阜で行なうワンマンのオープニングゲストを飾る公演から、ふたたび積極的にライブ活動を行なう姿勢を示せば、彼らの全国ツアーへそのまま数本帯同することも伝えてきた。

彼らは「君の存在を肯定しよう」と歌いかけてきた。。。

何時だって、その時期や象徴する楽曲や、その時代を彩る楽曲が世の中に生まれれば、それを求める人たちがいる。たとえその言葉が痛みを伴おうと、その言葉に救いを求める人たちがいる。そして、想いを与えることで、何かを変えたいと願う人たちがいる。
UNDER FALL JUSTICEがその役割を担っていると断定はしない。 でも、少なからずその言葉に心の救いや安堵を覚えている人たちがいる。もちろん、その逆もいる。だからこそ、彼らが存在していることに意味が生まれる。毒にも薬にもならない音楽に意味がないとは言わないが、毒か、薬になる音楽のほうが、何かしら心は動きを示してゆく。

4月13日(月)、UNDER FALL JUSTICEは最新シングル「肯定」を発売する。相変わらず毒々しく、そして禍々しい楽曲だ。でも、それを肯定したくなるのは、彼らの放つ強烈な癖に何かしら共鳴を覚えたからだ。悲痛な声を上げるほど、そこに抱くのは興奮か嫌悪、そのどちらかだろう。だから、その毒に惹かれてしまう…。

UNDER FALL JUSTICEは、7月27日(月)池袋EDGEを舞台に「UNDER FALL JUSTICE 6周年記念単独カルト 『必要？不必要？判断』」の開催も発表した。タイトルへ「『必要？不必要？判断』」と名付けたように、今、UNDER FALL JUSTICEはみずからの存在意義を世の中へ強く問いただそうとしている。

その日へ至るまでにも重要な「単独カルト」は幾つも用意してある。UNDER FALL JUSTICEが今、この時代の中へ何を投げかけ、何を求めようとしているのか。その問いかけの謎を、これからの動きを追いかけながら探っていただきたい。そのうえで、あなたはUNDER FALL JUSTICEの動きを肯定するのか…その審判を下してもらいたい。
