元SKE48の石川咲姫などを擁するL・I・E・P(リープ)、6月23日にプレ・デビューライブを生配信!!

昨年11月、「一人一人の人生に寄り添えるアイドル・グループを作りたい」という想いを胸に市井紗耶香(元モーニング娘。)を中心としたプロデュースチームがアイドル・プロジェクトを立ち上げた。多くの応募が寄せられた中、いくつもの審査を経ながら、プロジェクトを彩るクリエイターたちの心を踊らせたメンバーを7人選出。中には、元SKE48の石川咲姫。アクターズスクール広島内に誕生したSPL∞ASHのメンバーとして活動していた岩田ちひろのような、すでにアイドルとして実績を重ねたメンバーたちも名を連ねている。

「みんながアイドルとして、アーティストとして、成功をおさめるラッキー（幸運）ガールになって欲しい」という想いや願いを4つの文字に込め、L・I・E・P(リープ)と命名。L・I・E・Pは、以下の4文字の意味で成り立っている。

L=Lucky girl(ラッキーガール)
I=Idol(アイドル)
E=Excavation(エクスカベーション=発掘）
P=Project(プロジェクト)

2月上旬にメンバーが揃って以降、L・I・E・Pはデビューに向けレッスンをスタート。本当なら、3月中には活動を発表。5月にはデビューライブを行う計画だったが、コロナ禍の影響もあり、彼女たちのレッスンも一時中断。スケジュールの変更を余儀なくされた。
本当なら、5月にお披露目ライブを行って以降、中国で行われるフェスティバルなど、アジア各国を舞台にいきなり海外進出も決まっていた。が、ご存じのように、今の社会情勢としてすべて中止になってしまった。あえてそれを書いたのも、デビュー前から、彼女たちに期待を寄せる人たちが多くいたことを知って欲しいからだ。

メンバーの石川咲姫が今も愛知県在住など、県を跨いだ活動がいまだ難しい状況もあり、レッスンを中断して以降、都内メンバーらは6月上旬よりレッスンを再開したが、メンバー全員での練習は今も難しい状態にある。だが、「一人一人の人生に寄り添えるアイドル・グループを掲げ、L・I・E・Pを誕生させた以上、メンバーたちの人生にも寄り添うべき」との想いから、プロデュースチームはあえて「今の状況を逆手に取った形での活動」を行おうと決めた。

6月23日(火)20時30分より、L・I・E・Pは「無観客ライブ配信」というスタイルで 「プレ・デビューライブ」を行うことを発表。

6月23日(火)20時30分より、L・I・E・Pは「無観客ライブ配信」というスタイルで 「プレ・デビューライブ」を行うことを発表した。この日は、岩田ちひろを筆頭に都内在住の選抜メンバーたちがライブステージを行えば、その後に行うトークコーナーには、愛知県在住の石川咲姫など地方に住むメンバーたちがリモートという形で参加する。
言ってしまえば、未完成な状態での配信だ。でも、「アイドルとは観客たちの声援に育てられ成長し続けてゆく存在であるのなら、未完成の状態からその姿を観てもらい、一緒に成長してゆく様も共有し続けて欲しい」。その意識のもと、今回の配信ライブを皮切りに、正式デビューに向けた姿も定期的に配信していこうと決断を下した。

岩田ちひろは、「L・I・E・Pのメンバーは可愛い系からK-POPなアーティストのような格好いい系まで、一人一人の個性が際立つグループです。だからこそ、個々のキャラクターの活かし方を含め、経験を重ねながら成長してゆく私たちの姿を、最初からみなさんに見ていただきたいと思っています」と、配信ライブに向けた意気込みを語ってくれた。
石川咲姫も、「個性の異なる7人が、それぞれの持ち味をどう発揮しながら色を作っていくのか楽しみです。L・I・E・Pのグループカラーは「白」。そこに私たちがどんな色を塗り重ねていくのか。それとも真っ白なままに進むのか。自分たちでもそこは楽しみにしています」と、L・I・E・Pの未来へ期待する言葉を述べてくれた。

L・I・E・Pが、どんなステージングを描き、どんな風に歌声を響かせてゆくのか。プレ・デビューライブを通して見せた姿が、メンバー7人の完全体になったとき、どんな風に花開くのか。6月23日のライブは、まだまだ芽吹いたばかりの姿かも知れない。むしろ、つぼみにもなっていない小さな葉のような状態だ。そんな彼女たちが、どんな風に茎を伸ばすのかを観て欲しい。もちろん、その後もL・I・E・Pの成長を追いかけ続けていただけたら幸いだ。
