アンダービースティー、激辛な本音を剥きだしたシングル「Real Blade」を9月9日にメジャーリリース!!

9月9日(水)にエイベックスエンタテイメントより、通算6枚目となるシングル「Real Blade」をメジャー流通でリリースするアンダービースティー。このたび、表題曲の「Real Blade」が「お願い!ランキング」(テレビ朝日系)の9月度エンディングテーマとして放送になることが決定した。

「Real Blade」は、メンバー全員で作詞に挑戦した楽曲。歌詞へ「ウルサイ外野の声 静粛に」「ウソ エゴ セコ Net work 揚げ足取り 錆びれた針なんかじゃ痛くもないし」「刃ですべてぶち壊せ」と記すなど、普段は温厚なメンバーたちの心に隠していた本音が、牙を剥く言葉として多く並べられている。曲調も、アンダービースティーらしい激しく攻立てるデジロックスタイル。より多くの人たちに想いを届ける環境を手にしたからこそ丸くなるのではなく、逆に尖ってゆく姿勢も彼女たちらしさ。

本作は、A/B-TYPEでリリース。共通C/W曲として収録したのが、「燃えろ超えろ吠えろ空へ"ANTHRO"」と歌い叫ぶ「ANTHRO」。共通曲と言いながら、B-TYPEには、アレンジを変えた (鳴風version)を収録。重厚さを全面に押し出した「ANTHRO」が、(鳴風version) では華やかさと解放感を強調。その違いもぜひ聴き比べてもらいたい。

A-TYPEに収録した「Past Perfume」とB-TYPEに収めた「YNDR」(ヤンデレ)は、共にラブソング。激ロック曲「Past Perfume」には、今も忘れられない人のことを想い続ける強い恋心を書けば、哀愁ロックナンバー「YNDR」には、ツンデレな女性の心模様を描写。同じ「一途」でも気持ちの向け方次第で「想いは真っ直ぐにも、歪んでもいく」ことをリーダーの植竹優亜は歌詞に記してきた(恋愛の歌に見せかけ、本当は違う意味を持たせているらしい)。

8月にアンダービースティーは、初の配信シングル「Trust in....」も発売した。この楽曲は、過去に形にしたアンダービースティー曲の歌詞に記した言葉たちも数多く散りばめた、ファンへ向けたメッセージソング。アンダービースティーを深く知るほど楽しめる歌になっている。

10月21日には、新木場STUDIO COASTを舞台に「UB roll a DICE」と題したワンマン公演も決定している。こちらは、本当なら5月に行うはずだった6周年記念単独ライブの振替公演。どういう環境でライブを行うのかは世の中の状況次第。とはいえ、間違いなく魂を熱くするライブを彼女たちは見せてくれるはずだ。ぜひリアルでも、アンダービースティーの生きざまを瞼に、心へ焼き付けていただきたい。
